Inexpensive camp chairs are more comfortable

I wanted the Nemo Stargaze for a long time. When I tried it out, I found it uncomfortable and too bulky to be attractive to bring on a camping trip. The seat even though wide squeezes in on your thighs because of its poor design.

Comfortable, But Far Too Big and Heavy

The Stargaze NWO Evo-X is too bulky and heavy for my liking—nearly twice the size and weight of the original Stargaze. I do like the color options and find it a touch more comfortable, but not enough to make up for how hard it is to pack and transport. It takes up far too much space in my vehicle when camping, and the extra bulk outweighs the small comfort upgrade. I bought my husband the original Stargaze, and we decided to try this version. While the chair feels similar once set up, packing it is frustrating. The oversized design and added weight just aren’t worth it; it's like hauling a golf bag. Disappointing. I’ll be returning it to spend a little more on the higher-end model instead.

Stargaze EVO-X, the chair

I recently got my hands on the Stargaze EVO-X, and let me tell you, it has brought a big smile to my face. This chair is exactly what I have been searching for and it has exceeded all my expectations. Setting it up is a breeze, and the comfort it offers is unparalleled. Plus, it packs up so neatly, making it a must-have for anyone who loves to be on the move and embark on thrilling adventures. I'm so impressed by the Stargaze EVO-X that I'm already in the process of getting another one to pair with my loved one. Trust me, if you're on the lookout for a comfy camping chair, your search ends here. Do yourself a favor and get one of these amazing chairs – you won't be disappointed!

Almost $200 for a camp chair???

Yeah, and worth every penny! No matter how long you’ve been camping, there comes a time when doing it the way you did it when you were young just doesn’t work. I camp for lots of reasons, and in lots of settings. But one of the things I ALWAYS want to do when I’m camping is relax and do it COMFORTABLY. I don’t need a Winnebago, but the old camp chairs— just about ALL of them—don’t work for me any more. But This one—no kidding—DOES. The best addition I’ve made to my gear in a LONG time.

A very nice upgrade and almost perfect

I bought this to replace my Stargaze Reclining Camp Chair to make it easier to set up. The Stargaze EVO-X is EXTREMELY easy to set up. It is comfortable and sturdy. My nits to pick are the storage size is pretty darn big compared to the Stargaze. I wish the cup holders where bigger to accommodate cans with a thermal wrap. Perhaps an accessory that clips to the main support bars (making sure the can faces out) would solve that issue. It feels like the EVO has a larger seat which is nice. It also feels like you sit a bit higher. Overall if you have the room to store the EVO, then by all means this is a great chair. But if you want something more compact and don't mind dealing with the fidgety set up of the Stargazer, then get that one.

Stable, quick, best of all you can get out easy

We use the chair for the first time last week. We own several of the original stargazers and have absolutely loved them. However, they can be difficult to get out of especially for tall people. This fixed everything. It’s very quick to set up. It’s extremely stable. Best of all it’s very easy to get in and out of. We liked it so much. We ended up fighting over it. Before the end of the weekend there were additional chairs ordered. If you’re hesitant, don’t be give it a shot. You’ll absolutely love it.

Great, affordable star gazing alternative.

Similar to the other star watching option from NEMO, but $100 cheaper. The construction isn't as sturdy, but it's lighter and travels better. Very comfortable and perfect for starting at the stars all nights and not getting a neck ache.

as another reviewer said - super bulky

The photos kind of speak for themselves. Some people wouldn’t mind, but for those that would the original packs down better and is way easier to put away.

Only time will tell….. awesome so far!

Only time will tell….. awesome so far! Bough it for my girl cause she fell in love with it at the store, then I come to find out the thing is rated for 300lbs! I’m a bigger guy and finding a char that fits my larger frame is rare, this one definitely does, and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart while doing so. Yes, it’s definitely on the bulkier side once packed up but given the sturdiness of it I can live with that. The reclining feature is pretty cool too!

Sturdy but Just Can’t Get Comfy

I ordered one of the first batches and like everything about it except I just can’t find a nice position to relax in, besides full recline. I had friends also try it out and they agreed but couldn’t pinpoint why. Adding a small cushion at the bottom or a folded blanket pretty much fixed the issue but perhaps some adjustability for the seat height would too? Definitely keeping it but don’t expect a perfect sit.
