Awesome Hat!!
This hat is so nice and well made. I like that the brim isn't overly large as I'm small with a small face so I don't need a huge brim to keep me out of the sun. The Flint Blue color is really pretty and since it is a lighter color will help to keep me from getting overly warm in the sun. Buying a hat online made me a little nervous, but I REALLY love it!

You can find a better sun hat
The side panels aren't really mesh, more like a breathable fabric. (The REI Sierra Guide hat, for example, has actual mesh.) The hat itself also weighs a bit more than I expected from a sun hat. I bought it in November, so can't fully evaluate it for warm/hot conditions but my guess is it will be too warm for temperatures over 50. It's like a fall or winter sun hat.

Great for all conditions

I have a small head, so hats rarely fit well. This one in the size Sm-Med fits great! It provides good head, face, and ear shade. Good airflow and adjustable cord is perfect for a windy day (or looking down over a precipice!)

Just OK

Nice hat but not as "airy" as I was hoping. As another review stated the side panels are not mesh and really not that airy or ventilating. It's comfortable and well made.

Ventless in Atlanta

Need vents! I purchased two of these thinking the panels were real vents (as they look in the photos). One thing you need here in the South is head gear with ventilation! It's hot, humid and these hats might just exacerbate those conditions.

Great hat!

Very pleased with this hat, comfortable, adjustable, love the color, the brim is not large, keep this in mind if you want very broad coverage. Otherwise, recommend it.

Amazing Hat!!

I have a larger head and have difficulty finding hats that fit my head well without giving me a headache. This hat was perfect for me though! I’ve worn it on multiple long hikes and just during the day for sun shade. The brim is sturdy and provides nice sun protection. The Flint Blue color is gorgeous.

Lightweight and Keeps the Sun Off

Perfect for hiking and travel. It's breathable, packs small, and the brim really blocks the sun. Stays on even in the wind.

Comfortable for large heads, but not well vented

Looks great and stays on securely even in moderately windy conditions. Despite it's mesh appearance on the outside, it is not well ventilated as there is a panel behind the mesh, so it's not great for hot summer days for someone who sweats a lot like myself. It's not the greatest for packing down but it's also not bulky or anything. Most importantly though, it is one of the few hats that fits my oversized head, and it does a great job of doing that comfortable.
