These shoes felt like they were molded to my feet from the moment I put them on. I am not a runner, but an average walker with problem feet, so that's why I wanted to try these. Aside from the shoe itself, I have to commend REI's CUSTOMER SERVICE, for its extraordinary help in getting the shoes to me before i left for vacation. Bravo@ You did it!.
I really wanted these sandals to work. They are beautiful to look at and are a great idea. However, they did not work for me here, in Florida. I got them to have a supportive "open air" shoe so my feet could breathe. The sandal provided what I needed for the tops of my feet. For the soles of my feet the material made my feet hotter in the hot, humid weather. I have several pairs of Teva flip-flops and the material of the footbed in those is completely different than that of this shoe. I can't wear them and had to return them. I do think this might be a great sandal for someone with different needs in a trail sandal.
I could tell as soon as I slipped my feet into these puppies that they are my new favorite sandals. The comfort is immediately obvious. I love the color scheme and the strap system. The only reason I'm taking off a star is because I can tell that my baby toes are feeling a little pressure (no rubbing or pain!) from the buckle nearest to them, but that may just be because I have wide feet and not really have anything to do with the shoes.
Have really enjoyed running in these sandals so far! They are incredibly comfortable for everyday wear, and I have taken them on several runs now, both on and off trail, with my longest foray being a 10 mile run in the state forest this past weekend. I have an unstable ankle and these sandals are incredibly stable. Excited to have these in my rotation and looking forward to getting another pair in the future. Can't stress enough how bouncy and cushioned they feel, with no foot slippage.
I wanted to keep those so bad but the strap that goes across your toes is so narrow! Other tevas the strap starts at the very side of the shoe but on this sandal its secured a ways into the foam....It gives my pinky toes blisters :-( Better for people with narrow feet.
Amazing from day one! Due to a bad case of tendonitis on the top of my foot and currently unable to wear a shoe that ties, these looked like an option to keep me moving. I will definitely continue to wear these even after I've healed up and hope to see some additional colors available in the future!
I have tried HOKA’s new open toe hiking sandal and this one. The Teva pair is far more cushioned and has a better footbed vs straps design. It’s comfortable and it feels like walking on a gel pad but with good all around support including arch support. I have several foot and ankle issues and I’m a hiker so I need very specific kind of shoes that have great cushioning, arch support, and balls of feet support. This one checked all the boxes.
The bottoms of my feet would be sore after my 10 mile hikes, I saw these and thought, they might be the answer ! Boy, were they ever! My feet are not sore any more, feels like I am walking on cushions!
Love these! I hike where its hot, so these are great!
Please tell me if there is a laced up shoe comparable to the Aventrail running sandal in its comfort, cushiness and support.
