Functional
It is a functional pack but the fabric is stiff and bulky, which makes accessing the components cumbersome. I do love the pull rings on the zipper pockets. They work great. The padding on the back seems unnecessary for such a small pack. Mostly what it accomplishes is making the pack bulkier and hotter against the body. The small zipper pocket is quite small. Great for keys and another small item, but it is limited. I have Another hip pack that is smaller and less cumbersome. I will keep this as a backup since it was inexpensive, but I strongly considered returning it. The main issue is the extra heavy fabric and bulky padding which are both overkill on such a small bag.

Must continuall adjust buckle to keep tight.
Webbing straps slips through the buckle as you walk. So it needs tightened all the time. I am 5'4 and 118. The way the webbing is sewn you cannot back it through to get the webbing correct. So I had to cut the webbing in order to get it correct so the webbing will not slip through the buckle. Horrible buckle design and sewn ends. Purchased at the Winter Park store this week. I will keep it and return the second one I ordered on line. I assumed the would have slip proof buckles. Great pack otherwise.

Versatile pack

I love the color way which is something that initially caught my attention. I like the clip in the front pouch to secure a keychain. The main pouch is spacious enough to accommodate everyday essentials. It also has a top zipped pouch people might find useful for their organizational needs. If the top pouch could be RFID protective that would be amazing to protect keycards or credit cards but I wouldn’t want that to compromise the weight/construction of the Nano waist pack. I think the zipper pulls and the side tie down points are an intelligent design. This is a larger waist pack, so unless you’re accustomed to wearing one you might find this bulky.

Textile coating lasts less than a year

This has seen daily use since I bought it in Mar 2024 and was great while it lasted. But less than a year of daily use, the textile coating has deteriorated and is starting to flake off getting into all the contents of the bag. You can see from exterior pic, the bag is in great shape and has held up really well.

comfy and well-engineered fanny pack

Nice gear. Comfy (padded back), 3 pockets, handy key clip inside. I bought a Gregory day pack a few years ago and like their design and engineering. This fanny pack is just the right size, roomy like the EMS fanny pack that I used for a long time (until the zipper wore out). Some other reviewers have complained about dangling straps. That happens but doesn't bother me personally and you can use a rubber band if needed. Nice zipper handles. Flaps over the zippers make the zippers a little harder to operate, but are still worthwhile because flaps add rain-proofing. Punchline: great product, recommended.

Lots of space a little wide in the front

Got this in my Cairn box. Super comfortable, unfortunately I got the one color I wont wear. Fennel Green. The only reason it's not 5 stars more like 4.5 is that even without stuff in it it's a bit wide (short ways) and bending over is annoying even without anything in it, fully packed I'd have to take it off everytime I had to tie my shoe or sit down. May be a good idea to make a narrower width instead of 5" at its widest point maybe 3.5"

Well thought out waist pack to walk my dog

This waist pack is perfect for me to use walking my doggie, can hold a small water bottle, fetch ball in main compartment and separate my keys, other small items in the front zipper pocket, and my cell phone in the padded back pocket. It’s a bigger pack yet light for when I need to carry something on my walk. I especially like the loop which I could put a small biner to attach a water bowl and hat. I was picky but this has everything I am looking for. High quality. I love the teal/orange/purple color. The only improvement is that the waist belt is long for me and I need a way to bundle them so I don’t have long dangling nylon. I used a think rubber band on each side to hold them together.

Perfect waist pack

Perfectly blends size, quality and price point. I had been looking at waist packs by several manufacturers for quite some time before finding this one. Gregory does a lot of things well and I own several of their products. The only thing Gregory could improve on is including the elastic waist band tag end stays. Luckily I had some from some older failed packs.
