Feels like a must have for tent setup.
Gives you a perfectly sized footprint to protect your tent and keep you dry. It has worked out well for me. Keeps the underside of the tent clean too. I also find it convenient for folding up the tent so you can keep it off the dirt and rocks while rolling it up.
Well-Made Footprint That Needs a Few Tweaks
I like this footprint and would buy it again, but I feel that improvements could be made in the design. You can tell that the material and the construction are intended for quality; just handling the footprint shows how well it's made. The footprint fits the tent floor exactly and to have it extend past the walls of the tent as that could allow for rainwater to pool between the footprint and the tent floor. However, the footprint does lack small extensions, such as tabs or loops, in the corners to stake down the footprint outside the air poles. Aligning the tent on top of the footprint was a bit of a hassle, and more importantly, I am concerned that over time, the stakes could potentially damage the air poles because they were so close.
