Great for Specialized Tero X 4.0!
The handle bar mount fits exactly to Specialized Tero X 4.0 (31.8mm (1-1/4"))! Firm even on rough terrain. Primarily used this on my daily commutes & recreational rides with my family. Easy to remove/add when parking to keep on my bag with the use of an additional Thumb Screw. I ordered another product for my wife as we are satisfied with the quality and ease of use.
Faultless bike mount, highly recommended
Have been looking for a solution to attach my phone to my mountain bike to help with trail/road navigation for some time. During my research, came across peak design in various YouTube reviews and when I compared to available options, I thought they were best in every aspect, style, functionality, usability etc. Bought peak design phone case and out front bike mount a few weeks ago and have been very pleased and impressed by both in every way. Phone case looks and feels good, and doesn’t add too much extra size to phone overall. It has just the right balance between grip and slip, eg easily slips into pocket (unlike some more rubbery cases), yet feels secure when holding phone. Mounting system is first class, quick to attach/remove phone with one hand and trouble free thanks to magnetic alignment system. Holds securely, no wobble, easy to install/adjust mount etc and now includes collars for all popular handlebar sizes (I’m using the 35mm collar from v2 mount - rock solid). It is exactly as per peak design marketing video. Only issue is phone getting mud splatter running down very soggy UK MTB trails (bike has no mudguards), but I have solved that using cheap waterproof phone sleeve with small hole cut to allow peak design mount to work as normal (see pics).
Excellent Mount
I am very impressed with this mount for cycling. The best feature is how easy it is to remove the phone with one hand. The magnet is strong but it's the locking mechanism that keeps phone secure. If you already had an out-front mount for your cycling computer, like I do, you have to flip the Peak Design towards you and over the headset/stem. This works really well but my knees would just brush my iPhone16 Pro when out of the saddle. If you're a bigger rider this may not happen to you. I decided to return the mount and get their universal bar mount so I can place it up on the tops of the bar. This way my legs won't come near the phone.
Sturdy, easy to use
I've had this about 5 months and use it weekly during my bike rides (20-100 mi/week) and always have my phone mounted. There is literally nothing bad I can say about this mount. It holds my phone stronger than any of my past 3 phone mounts (I've never had a quadlock though) and is easier to put on and remove than any others I've tried (on my first try ever I was able to put on and remove the phone one handed). Trying to find something negative to say, the only things I can think of to nitpick are the price (but I think its worth it) and relate to it being on the handlebars in general (water, rocks etc)
Easily mounted and secure mount
Excellent bike mount for my smartphone. Easily mounted and very secure. Really love the flip-to-film feature. It's working very well, and it's something that I had been looking for for a long time. Also the ability to mount a light below the mount is very nice. However, using both the lamp mount and the flip-to-film at the same time causes some some trouble, as the light needs to be readjusted. Another issue is that the mount can only be mounted on the right side of the stem. As my deck is a little crowded, I had to move my bell to the left side. A small price to pay for the other benefits.
Amazing stabilization capabilities
From leisurely bike rides in the neighborhood to hauling absolute buns like a bread truck on the mountain bike trails, this bike mount is legit! I can track my bike rides and know my pace with just a glance. The phone doesn’t rattle or budge so checking to see my pace has never been easier. I’ve also recorded some videos of trail riding I’ve done with this mount and it’s amazing how stable the video quality is. I came in too fast on a turn and locked up the brakes and had a little wipeout, but the phone stayed on the mount and everything was in tact. Very very impressed with this product!
Rattles like a box of bolts
I have four Peak design mounts, and this is a rare miss for the brand. It still has the cool mounting system, but it rattles on a road bike. The noise is less noticeable on a gravel bike or a mountain bike. You can listen to how loud it is on the video, despite how smooth the road is. If you're the type who likes to chase every noise out of your bike, this is NOT for you.
Works great where it fits, NOT on Rad Power Bikes
I originally purchased the Out Front Bike Mount but couldn't find room on the handlebars to do anything but landscape, which doesn't work well with some applications (in particular the one that controls my garage door opener). I then ordered a motorcycle mount forgetting I already had one from the crowdfunding campaign, but it worked out great because now I've got one for my other bike as well. The longer arm of the motorcycle mount allows for portrait or landscape mounting and keeps the phone clear of the bike's status LCD and brakes/shifters/bell. I may use the bike mount for an action camera, but I'm unlikely to use it for any phone other than maybe an iPhone mini because of the space constraints.
Great Bike Mount
I’m pretty picky on cases and bike mounts so after months of looking and researching I decided to land on Peak Design. The mount has a minimal look, which I appreciate compared to other brand mounts. Phone attaches effortlessly to the mount and feels very sturdy once on. From smooth streets, to gravel roads, the mount has performed as expected. Removal of the phone from the mount is ridiculously easy and intuitive. The ability to mount my light on the bottom of the mount is a real plus and gives clean aesthetics. Overall happy with the mount combined with the phone case.
Make an extended version for aerobars!
Very well-build product, although I wish they made a version that extended further forward and to the side. It doesn't align with the middle of my Profile Design Airstryke II aerobars. I'll have to make some sort of accessory myself for it to work properly.
