Easily refillable and slender
TSA don’t mind it and any paintball, scuba, etc. store is equipped to refill it. Nice and slender so it doesn’t take up storage in the pack
Excellent caniter and easy to install.
So far the system seems very easy to transfer from one pack to another and user friendly. Coming from ABS, I wanted something I could use in multiple packs and be able to test & refill canisters easily and inexpensively. I have not done a test deployment yet but bought the Airbag and 2 canisters to go with my Dakine Packs that I also recently bought. I like the Scuba fill accesory and picked up one of those as well. Great Product for the Value and lots of PAck options depending on what your needs are.
Lots of Air
Really shiny canister, super silver, with a nice label on it with good instructions. Did I mention that I liked the color of it? I think that the silver is super sleek and cool looking. It screwed into my backpack excellently all most like it was designed for it. I wonder if it was a different color it wouldn't screw in as well. I did like the fact that it was silver, that part is sweet. In reality it does what it is supposed to do.
Haven't had to use this yet but it was very easy to install and looks easy to refill
Not too heavy but very easy to use. I'm using it for snowmobiling so I wasn't super concerned with the weight but it's great for what I need it for. I like that it's refillable so that I can easily test it if I need to. Great for any skill level, an essential piece of gear for anyone in an avalanche area. I use this with the mammut 3.0 airbag and backpack as well as the barryvox BPS. Great gear for skiing and snowmobiling.
Would love to see the carbon version in Canada but sadly they're deemed unsafe to transport here. Only gripe with the aluminum canister is it doesn't sit well in the 3.0 packs, as I've seen with multiple units. The black plastic around the regulator sticks out and pokes into your back when it's fully inserted, I feel this could easily be fixed on Mammuts end
Easy to use and reasonably light
Simple cylinder that is reliable and well constructed. Gauge is really helpful when it comes to verifying the cylinder charge between uses. I don't' have easy access to a fill station in NC so I have to rely on a paintball outfit who are happy to do it but don't know what it's for. The gauge helps me ensure a proper fill.
This cartridge is compatible with Mammut bags as well as Highmark by SnowPulse bags, so it can be transferred if you ever decide to upgrade bags. It is refillable at most dive shops. I have never had an issue with the canister and provides peace of mind knowing that it will be ready when needed.
functional and easy to use. Consider if your going to be traveling especially via airplane. This may not be the way to go especially since finding a refill seems to be a bit difficult. You definitely pay a weight penalty for the added safety. I'll make that trade any day.
Make sure it is compatible
Make sure it is compatible. Otherwise, it is just a cartridge. It is slightly narrower (smaller diameter) compared to other airbag cartridges but also much longer. Might also be heavier than others but overall gets the job done.
