How to Choose Cross-Country Ski Gear

One boot, two techniques. The Fischer RC3 Combi cross-country ski boots combine the cuff support for skating with softer-flexing outsoles that allow for the smooth kick needed for classic skiing.

I have used these a couple of times with both skate and classic skis on the trails in 10-30 degree weather. They have worked well with no real break in needed. Enough ankle support for skate and enough toe flex for classic. Able to wear same size as regular shoes.
