Bought the pivot 2.0 in December 2025. Broke the binding while on ski trip in February. Had to purchase rental skis during remainder of ski trip. Huge bummer since I own skis so I don’t need the unnecessary expense. Emailed rossignal while on the ski trip about options and they said I would need to ship the item back for a review of options. I was still on a ski trip and could not be guaranteed to have a binding upon the start of my next trip. No offer to send a replacement part or anything. As a result they said the only option would be to go direct to REI for their options. Despite purchasing only 3 months prior and being used for 15 days total this year the REI manager told me they would accept a return this time but only for 90 percent. Made me feel like I had no options but was at least willing to do it this time (hence the 3 star vice 2 or 1). They asked who mounted the bindings and that I would have to go through them or rossignal in the future. This REI did not offer mounting at their store. Was not expecting to be given this much difficulty on a part that broke only 3 months (15 actual days of use). I purchased an additional set of bindings expecting REI might understand and do a swap. I’ll give look pivot one more try, but strongly considering going with another brand and taking my ski gear business outside of REI. Stay tuned.
the heal of the binding is weak and easily breakable. the 1.0 or earlier model has all one big heal piece the 2.0 has 6 separate pieces and they break apart easily.
Have a pair of Pivot 15s and love them for their reliability. Bought this pair to put on a powder ski with the Cast touring system. Looks like a great way to go for an inbounds ski with some side country capability. Can’t wait to put it all together and try them out.
