I was looking for a compact daypack with side pockets I could stash a narrow water bottle in and be able to get it in and out without taking the pack off. I am not a fan of the hydration bladders for short hikes but there is a sleeve for one. At 5'2" 110 lb, I figured that I am about the size of a 12 year old boy and the pack fit my adult female frame comfortably and has plenty of features and adjustments.
LOVE this pack! My 5-year-old uses it for backpacking. He's between 30 and 40lbs and does a great job carrying 9-10lbs in this pack.
