Black Diamond  Dawn Patrol 25 Snow Pack

Great pack for skiing in and out of bounds. The 25L feels very roomy with the pocket setup. Fits my transfer LT shovel perfectly with plenty of room for other tools (beacon, probe, food, water, extra layers, etc). The harness system is extremely comfortable as expected from any BD pack. Pockets are well designed to separate west gear and dry gear.

Perfect size for day touring. Excellent features. Great helmet pocket. Comfortable fit. Pockets on the shoulder strap & waist belt are so well thought out. Fit shovel, probe, multiple layers, goggles, snacks- everything needed for a full day of touring.

I love this backpack! I actually bought it for hiking and climbing (not snow sports). I was looking for something with hip pockets and a shoulder pocket, but that was still in the 25L size. This was perfect! I love the organization I’m able to have for all of my gear. The only draw back is that the back padding doesn’t seem as breathable as my other packs. I’m assuming it’s because it’s made for snow sports and not summer hikes. Still very happy with my purchase!

I desperately needed to upgrade my BC pack. I had two very specific needs, one a designated place for my avy tools and two, a place to secure my helmet. This pack check those two boxes and more.

Great comfort, efficient and light for backcountry skiing. Just one thing, there is no outside pocket for a bottle of water.

Great bag overall, wished the front pocket was a little bit bigger. Love all the straps.

Definitely purpose built. Not a good general purpose bag.
