Impressive, novel design & great fit

This is technically a review on last year's model in the flex 90, but I just wanted to share some info on the fit of these boots for a female as I could not find enough reviews out there. I was a bit worried about the "unisex" boot for a female with a pretty standard foot and calf size/height; however, the customization options really dialed in the fit for me more than I expected. I am also excited about the opportunity to replace the components as they soften/pack out. What helped me the most was adding the thickest inserts under the insoles which filled just the right amount of space in the boot, adjusting the tongue, and removing the "spoiler" in the upper back to accommodate my calves better. My foot size is exactly 24.5 (measured again this month) and the Phaenom 24.5 are perfect for my comfort. I am impressed with the walkability of these boots and feel of lateral ankle flexion. The flex of these boots are on the higher end of that rating, but the rubber strap can be adjusted a bit looser for more flex.
