Totally see-through, not cut for movement

The good: Soft fabric, and a nice color. The bad: It's totally see-through! You can read the logo on my bra through the shirt quite clearly. Also, the sleeves are cut such that the shirt rides up any time you raise your arms overhead. It arrived today, and it's going straight to the store for a return. I wish I had used my member coupon on something else.

A chic top for sunny days!

I absolutely adore the fit of this shirt, the Passion color is so vibrant in person! If you have a longer torso, I would recommend sizing up. I have a shorter torso, and the size S fits like a glove. This shirt is going to be a staple for me this spring and summer. I'm excited to take it biking, hiking, trail running, and wear it as a stylish piece. The Passion color added a fun pop to my wardrobe. Merino and Tencel fabric have truly won my trust in warm weather!!

Soft, lightweight, comfortable, and fits nicely.

This was priced higher compared to other REI shirts but it’s worth it. It’s so comfortable, I want to buy more in other colors!

Fabric is too thin, back it goes

Love the color (earth heather) BUT the shirt is totally sheer and see-through. The fabric is lovely and soft but I won’t wear it if it’s so sheer. Also it’s likely to develop holes easily. Very disappointed that it’s not wearable for me.

*very* see-through, different neckline, versus 2023 version

I love my 2023 Sphere II Cool-lite t-shirts in light blue, but this one is way too see-through! Even indoors in normal light, the outline of my belly button, my sports bra (which matches my skin color) and straps, and the top of my shorts all show through clearly. Don't want to imagine a photo from a sunny day outside. They also made the neckline less flattering and versatile (IMO) by eliminating the slight scoop of last year's. Returning this one and keeping it in black (despite the neckline) though I really wanted a happier color and the slight scoop neck.

WEIRD SIZING WITH TOP HALF TOO SMALL

I consistently wear Icebreaker size small and the second T I bought along with this one fits perfectly. But this T (with its gorgeous color and fabric) has an inconsistent fit: it is too small from the waist up. The neck is very snug, the shoulders too narrow, and the bust pulls taut across my modest 34B bustline. Below the waist the fit is perfectly loose and comfortable. Darn it! I so love the color but will sadly be returning.

Hopeful About Larger Sizes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for someone else who struggles to find quality wool clothing in inclusive sizing. Seeing the larger sizes for this item made me hopeful; however, the XXXL was very strangely shaped. On the person I bought it for, the shoulders and sleeves were so oddly placed that even though it fit elsewhere, the shirt did not look right. I hope that Icebreaker keeps working on improving their offerings in larger sizes.

avoids stink

This shirt is great for layering or wearing in summer temperatures to help avoid stink. The fabric is on the delicate side so not for bashing through the undergrowth where you would snag it. I like this shirt for summer travels. It packs well, shakes out wrinkles, and dries in a reasonable time. Beginners or experts will appreciate this shirt. I like this shirt better than 100% wool in the summer time.

Collar too tight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liked the feel of the fabric and the color. However, the collar felt too tight and high up on the neck line. Prefer the cut on Icebreaker shirts from 2012 - which was the shirt I was trying to replace. Hoping the fit is better in future versions.

Sooo soft!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe how soft this shirt is. I bought it to use while hiking but I know that I will use it for regular wear. I bought a small which is my usual size, but returned it for a medium because I wanted a little bit looser fit.
