Good fit, high quality mitt
Needed a new set of mitts for my backcountry kit and these fit the need. They are nice and warm. I got a size medium and the fit is dead on.
No temps above freezing? No Problem.
These are hands down (haha!) the best mittens ever! I have spent a lifetime of winters with perpetually frozen fingers, desperate for a way to foil Mother Nature. Enter the Black Diamond Mission MX mittens and all I can say is let’s go outside, and bring on the snow. First of all, this is the first xs mitten that really is extra small and fits me. There’s loads of insulation but they’re not too bulky (they work great with ski poles and trekking poles and give me enough dexterity to make snow balls). They are really well made and packed with features (wrist elastic and Velcro, soft suede on the thumbs, leashes with toggles, super cozy insides, and super weather-proof outsides. And they are WARM! I have yet to come in from the cold to warm up my hands. So happy.
Great quality
These mittens are like a warm hug for your hands—cozy, flexible, and surprisingly roomy without feeling like you're wearing oven mitts. The eternal struggle with snow mittens? The super-warm ones are made for snowboarders who just need to high-five gravity, while skiers, who actually have to hold onto things, are left out in the cold. But fear not! These mittens somehow defy the laws of mitten physics by keeping your hands toasty and letting you grip your ski poles like a pro. Stop searching—you’ve found mitten perfection!
Can’t wait to try these next winter.
Tired of cold fingers when scooping the driveway in -F temps, and can’t wait to try these out on the next artic blast. They fit a bit tighter than I expected, but used the measurement chart and ordered a Medium (a little challenging putting on the 2nd mitt when your hand is in the other mitt). Removable liners would be nice like some of the others, but chose them for the cuffs, and if they hold up to their reputation of keeping the fingers warm, will order another pair.
Cold weather ain't no match
These are top of their class for cold weather. Gore-tex liner and PrimaLoft Gold insulation shut out the cold. They fit perfectly under my jacket and have the added feature of wrist leashes for security if you need to whip them off on the chair lift. Black Diamond MX Mitts DO NOT disappoint. I just found my favorite mitts.
awesome mitts
These keep my hands so warm on windy & bitter cold East Coast skiing days. They are a little snug around the wrists, which is exactly what I was looking for, but be warned it takes a bit of extra effort to pull them on over your hands because of that. Overall, my favorite mitt I've tried!
Mission Mx mitts. Warm
Well constructed and when used in the warmer end of the range of the gloves, hands have never been so warm. Even after sweating and taking off gloves for lift ride up, warmth never gave up. Breathtaking. No finger slots and fabric is soft so gripping poles is easier than BD guide gloves.
Warm and Cozy
Love these so far. They have a really high quality construction and you can tell they will wear well. My gloves tend to wear through on the thumb a lot but these are reinforced. The liner is soft and cozy. No doubt they will serve me for many years to come. BD great as usual.
Warm!
Been using Bd gloves for many years and they have always been great but these are hands down the warmest mitt I’ve had, which is so great to have for those super chilly days up on the resort. No finger separators which I like as your body heat keeps each digit warm.
Very Warm!
I've never had mittens before, but since my hands were getting cold in my Hestras I decided to change it up. My hands were toasty warm all day on the mountain. Easy to get in and out off, and fit well under my jacket. Would highly recommend these gloves!
