Blundstone  Classic Chelsea Boots

Was so excited to get my first pair of Blundstone boots. When I opened the box, the color looks nothing like the picture. My “clay” boots are a lot darker - more like a brown, that look like someone took some sandpaper to scuff up random spots. 🙁

I’ve been wearing a pair of 585 Blundstone since 2020, from the moment I put them on I knew my feet were going to be just fine, this boots have been with me in all my travels and managed to walk lots of miles all over Europe, Latin America and the USA, I know only take one pair of boots and the overall design makes it easy for taking them off at airports. They are for me the perfect EDC(every day carry) for any adventure.

Love the way these look, but I found they run a bit small. Description advised to order your regular size which I did (women's size 8), but my toes hit the ends and they were so snug I needed help taking them off. I went to the store to exchange. The 8.5 was better, but my toes still hit the end, and the clerk explained that the half sizes for these boots are only looser, not longer. Ended up with a size 9, one full size larger than my regular shoe size. They have been great for wearing to work, my only complaint is that the leather is quite stiff and digs into the back of my leg when I walk. I am hoping the leather will soften with time, because I like them a lot otherwise.

These boots are so comfy they make me want to leave the house just so I can wear them. I'd been thinking about buying a pair of Blundstones for a couple of years, but the price held me back. So glad I finally took the plunge and bought a pair! The second day owning them I took them on a 4-5 mile walk/hike, and they were comfy. I also wear these at a job where I'm mostly standing all day and they're pretty comfortable there too. I usually wear a US size 6.5, sometimes a 6. In my trail runners (Altras) I wear a size 7. I also sized up to a women's size 7 for these (AUS size 4). They fit great!

I love these boots. I live in sandals but wanted a boot for winter even though I live in Florida. My feet are not used to being in a closed shoe, let along an ankle boot but when I tried these in the store I found them surprisingly comfortable. I did worry that the top of the boot would bother my ankle/lower calf after wearing them awhile but it doesn’t. I did end up buying a different insole because I need a very supportive arch support. These boots do have some arch support but not enough for me. With the addition of the new insole, that I also got at REI, these boots are so comfortable and didn’t really require any breaking in time. The right one is a little snug along the top/instep but not enough that it hurts and I think it will stretch out in time. They are a little difficult to get off so I bought a boot jack and that works great. BTW I bought the antique brown color and it’s beautiful.

These shoes are really amazing and I love that I can wear them for a variety of things. I will say they are a little uncomfortable and I thought that breaking them in would help but my feet just don't fit great in them. Breaking them in was very hard on my feet and I struggle to wear them standing or moving for long periods of time, even at work. I think if I put another shoe support in them they will be better but for the price it is always sad when your feet still hurt. I will however do all the things to keep them nice as I will wear them a lot for everyday shoes. I am not sure yet if I will be able to get away with a lot of outdoor hiking type activities with these.

Incredible boot, an everyday boot! Until the outer sole starts squeezing two months. Would be a favorite if it didn’t sound like a duck was following me. Rei replaced the first pair this happened to but again two months into wearing the replacement pair the same problem arose but on the other foot. Rei wouldn’t take this pair back due to slight coloration from wear. Blundstone customer service is non existent and doesn’t respond to any messages.

I wanted to like these very popular boots. But the fit was too narrow in the toe. I even went up in size by 1/2. Going bigger would have made the fit very weird. They were also very hard for me to get on and off. I have issues with my hands so this probably isn’t a problem for most people.

This color of "rustic brown" seems darker than the last pair I got by alot, and I like it! This is a deeper richer brown, and the old ones were almost buckskin. These boots are sturdy, and the leather lining and steel shank make a difference (I've worn both kinds for 20yrs. and the lining keeps the shape far better and the shank will be your friend after you've squatted 1,000 times to check tire pressure or pick up sticks.) I will say, buy a pair of KEEN insoles for these (I think KEEN makes the best ones) and you'll be extra happy as will your heels and arches. Sizing really depends on the socks you like to wear, but I stand by the quality of these boots for heavy or light wear. The weight is ideal for all day wear, and if you've worn heavy boots all day it does wear you out.

These are my new favorite go-to winter shoes, I have practically lived in them for the past three months, and I find myself dreading wearing other shoes. They're so comfortable, and I appreciate the additional insert they include in the box for people with more narrow feet. With the inserts they are a perfect fit, and I can walk all day in them. Wearing them with a wool sock is better than cotton though, because they do get kind of sweaty after a couple of hours.
