Great for young toddlers!
These are great for our 2.5 year old. We bought the kids bogs first (rather than the baby bogs) but they were too heavy for her to climb and run in. She can pull these on herself and they are cozy and lightweight and warm - she can still climb on playgrounds and run quickly. We haven't tested them out in pouring rain, but they are dry enough for lighter wet weather so far. They are a good in-between season shoe, and we plan to use them in the snow all winter. My only complaint is that the little hole in the back should be covered so that snow can't come into the hole. I'm thinking that might be a problem but hoping her snow pants can keep them covered.
All day every day boots
This is my two year old's second pair of baby bogs. She runs all over the PNW in all seasons in these things. Yesterday we trudged through mud for an hour in the rain to get up to a coast lookout. Her feet were dry and warm and at the end of the day - the only dry thing on her. I love these things. She can pull them on and off, they are comfortable- she'll wear them all day and hike for miles in them ( yes, she hikes for miles.) They've got great tread so for everyone else with a kid that likes to tear up and down trails and rocks, these have the best grip. Plus they are very cute and I'll admit that the matching mom and daughter Bogs is not an accident.
Easy to put on and stylish
I was hesitant to buy at first because my toddler only ever tried on boots once and hated them. These ones slipped on so easily and because they aren't bulky, it was easy for my toddler to walk around in them. She now will bring them to me to put on just to walk in them around the house! I also like that the sole of the boot is really durable and you can tell that it is constructed well. I love the neon unicorn pattern. The colours in the pattern go with many of the different jackets that my toddler wears during fall and winter. Will definitely have a few more pairs of bogs in my daughter's shoe collection. Worth every penny!
Fits wide feet where other brands don't
My son loves these boots. They fit his wide feet well, and the flexible neoprene makes them very comfortable. I will definitely buy bigger sizes as he grows. The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star review is because they're advertised as 100% waterproof — which isn't entirely accurate. I would say they're more "water-repellent" than waterproof. If your kid is like most kids and loves jumping into puddles, it won't take long before their feet start getting wet. Other than that, we really like the product. Also, they're not really suitable for temperatures as low as -14°C — maybe if your child is running around a lot. I'd say they're fine down to about 0°C or -2°C.
Will buy again, for sure!
This is the second pair of Baby Bogs I've purchased for my grandson. Here's what I like about them: They're very flexible which is a great advantage for early walkers. The easy to put on and the Velcro closure provides an opportunity for a good fit, snug but not too tight. They're waterproof which, having gone on lots of walks with him and knowing he has fun splashing in every puddle he sees, is another great advantage! His feet stay dry! Finally, we get lot of inquiries and compliments from other parents/grandparents, asking us what brand of boot he's wearing and where'd we get them. I recommend them to all who ask.
Good product for wide footed kids
Our little one is 15 months old and wears 5.5 He has wide foot and we have a very hard time in finding shoes that fit him. I was a bit confused by their sizing chart and at the end I decided to buy a size 6, which is perfect (there is the right amount of space in the toe) These boots are easy to get in and off, which I was pleasantly surprised by. My son loved them immediately and was able to walk confidently as soon as he tried them on. Really happy about them and will test them more in cold weather as soon as winter kicks in.
Great PNW winter rain boot!
SO far so good! We live in the wet PNW. My very busy and fast 19 month daughter is doing great in these boots! Things I like so far: Fast and easy to get on and off. Have some good trend so she isn't slipping. I ordered them big and that hasn't been throwing her off balance. Flexible and really comfortable for long walks. Like the black. I debated what color/pattern to purchase. But seeing as how most of her wardrobe is colorful and patterned the class black mellows her look down a bit. Thanks!
I Have Bought These Boots Again
I bought these boots last year for 3 of my granddaughters. They and their parents absolutely loved them! They are easy to put on and take off. They keep their feet dry in puddles, rain and even the snow. All three wore them with dresses and leggings and even shorts. They turned out to be their Go To Favorite footwear. And, they all look new after all that wear. This year, I bought the next size up and one for the youngest granddaughter.
Will be buying these every year!
My two year old loves her new boots! She can easily put them on! She can wear these with thin or thick socks depending on what we're doing. They stay completely dry! I love that they're flexible and don't have a thick sole. We use all minimalist/barefoot style shoes but need something more substantial for our snowy winters. These are a great "compromise" shoe!
Nice quality materials, impractical design
So far my experience with these"easy on" boots is that they are not designed well for children. There is literally no flexibility in the neck of the boot and despite the velcro closure, still are difficult to get on. We even went up a size for our kid and they were still difficult to put on. They also fall off a lot. Would not recommend.
