built-in non-skid feature, so far, so good
bought these to go on my new Shimano road shoes. Have generally used the regular red DELTA cleats but thought I'd try out this new model with the built-in non-slip pads. Pros: I can go short distances (up/down stairs between house and workout studio downstairs without putting on my rubber KoolKovers I've always used; eliminates having to carry the KoolKovers. Cons: the non-slip pad size is pretty negligable, wondering how long it will really last; even with the thinness of the extra height of the cleat from the built-in non-slip pad makes it impossible to use the KoolKovers which give better, more complete traction and non-slip for any considerable distance one might need in situations on an actual road ride (for instance, getting from bike parking area to lunch/snack line or registration/check-in on a ride "event"; restrooms;

Cleat good / compatibility bad

From what I can tell these seem to be of good quality. I wanted to write this review however to flag that these will NOT work with shimano spd-sl pedals. My specific pedal (PD-7610) says it works with Look style but alas they do not work with these. Please research compatibility outside of REI to make sure these will work with your pedals.

make sure the cleats fit
make sure that the cleats you buy work for the bike shoes that you have/buy. And then make sure that they fit the bike pedals that you want to use them for. 3 trips to REI- I ended up having to buy on Amazon (which I really try to avoid)
