These run small
Yes , I recommend this product
I went by the REI sizing chart on the page and it does not seem to be accurate. I purchased the size L for my eight year old - normally about a 2.5-3 in shoes and they barely fit. I'm sure they'll shrink up a bit in the wash due to the material so I'm worried these will just be a hand-me-down before he's even gotten any use out of them. They do have nice padding on the bottoms and he likes the stripe.
