Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Great sale find
This was a fantastic sale purchase but not so sure I’d love it quite as much at the full price due to a few features I’d like and sizing. This runs large in my opinion. I’m 5’4,128 lbs, 32C and athletic figure. By the size chart I’m a small. I have room to add a few layers with this which can be nice, but also means that the coat is a touch baggier than I’d prefer for a running garment. I’d prefer to size up if I wanted that much layering space. For missing features, I’d like to be able to cinch the bottom to block out wind. When I run with this over just one layer and it’s windy, I definitely get a breeze up top that I’d like to reduce. That being said, the thumb holes and fold over cuffs are amazing and all coats should have this. I LOVE that feature so much! It’s especially handy when it’s not quite cold enough to wear gloves but you want a slight barrier on your hands. Also the nylon on the chest blocks a fair bit of wind while the fleece fabric provides light warmth with great breathable coverage. The pockets hold quite a bit and zip, plus the right pocket has a no-bounce phone pocket which fits a normal sized iPhone 14 and keeps it from flopping when you run. I’ve worn this for runs between 30-48 degrees with just an tshirt or long sleeve layer underneath and have stayed pretty cozy (barring the updraft without the bottom cinch). I hope this was only discontinued because there’s a new version in production!
The Best Running Jacket, Ever.
I hate jackets, especially while I'm running the trails. I heat up quickly and feel perfectly fine in 40 F weather. But even I occasionally get chilled if there's wind or rain, though rarely enough for the winter jackets out there. This jacket, though. WOW!! Light enough so I don't overheat, warm enough to keep me from getting cold, partially water repellant, good pockets with zippers, nice silhouette, moves well, thin enough for hydration vest to comfortably fit, thumb holes (I also hate gloves) so I can keep my hands from freezing. If you run cold you may need a warm base layer, but I think everyone would love this jacket.
Really happy with this jacket.
Really satisfied! It’s warm, the sleeves are nice and long, and it fits as expected. I’m a 6/8 typically and the medium is very comfortable.
I wore this for the 2023 North Pole Half marathon
I wore this for the 2023 North Pole marathon and a few days later to hike a glacier. It is a great top because of the extra insulation in key places and light weight where you need breathability. Perfect weight to wear over a long sleeve or short sleeve shirt and add a gortex shell if needed. It also looks pretty good as just a casual layer when not having an adventure.
Genius Jacket
My first impression based on the light weight was that it was not going to provide any warmth. I could not have been more wrong. It's magical! When you're chilly at the start of your run, the wrist cuffs fold over and keep your hands toasty. The pockets are deep enough to carry a cell phone and dog treats without the risk of them falling out. Plus, there's a smaller inner pocket in the right pocket just for keys. If you do get too toasty on your run, it's easy to tie the jacket around your waist. The sleeves aren't bulky, so the jacket stays knotted in place. Thanks REI for creating such a thoughtful product!
Fantastic Jacket
I’ve had this jacket over a year and I can’t say there’s anything I’d change about it. It’s well designed, comfortable, and provides enough warmth and weather protection for cool runs, cross country hikes and brisk walks. The neck fits close and is comfortable. The cuffs and built in mittens are a god-send for early morning starts. The pockets are very generous, has an inner phone sleeve, and durable zippers. It is also soft and cozy as a sweater too, as well as wicking when you build some heat. More colors please REI! 10/10 recommend and will purchase again! I’m 5’4”, 115lbs, trim, and the Small has room for a L/S base layer underneath, and does not cling or ride up on my hips.
Great cooler weather running jacket!
Love this jacket! I've worn it running for the past two months and find it is keeping me toasty warm. I'd say the ideal temp for this jacket paired with just a base layer is 20-40 degrees (F). I've also added a mid layer of either a fleece vest or a fleece zip up when it is under 20 degrees (F) and that probably keeps me warmer than I need to be, but, I don't mind a little sweat. Highly recommend. Love how it fits - I'm 5'9, 155 lbs and the medium fits perfectly, good length.
Love this jacket.....
I bought it about a year and a half ago two days before leaving for a 2-week trip across Europe. Ward every single day and under a rain jacket on the rainy days. whatever it is I'm perfect hiking on walking jacket. there are smaller pockets inside the actual pockets so everything's not sloshing around. The inner pocket inside the pocket even holds my large phone. Great slim fit with droptail and I'm not skinny. The thumb holes are awesome and they pullover sleeves act as built-in gloves so your hand s stay warm without the bulk. Super warm while staying lightweight.
Love this jacket
This is a great jacket. It's super soft, comfortable, and has some thoughtful features such as the hand warmers built into the sleeves and inner phone pocket. Keeps me warm in cool temps but also breathable. I'm 5'2" and 130 lb, with a muscular upper body, and the small fits perfectly. Fits close enough to the body to look stylish, but with enough room and stretch to not constrict my movement.
Perfect for a cold marathon start!
I bought this jacket as an outer layer for the start of a marathon that began with temperatures in the 20s. The sleeve cuffs came in clutch with the way they fold over and turn into mittens - I was happy to not need gloves. I loved how the jacket has deep zipper pockets too because when I finally warmed up, I was able to stuff my Patagonia houdini air jacket in one of the pockets and keep snacks and whatnot in the other pocket. The jacket was light enough that it didn't get in my way when I tied it around my waist for the rest of the run. I'm really impressed with this jacket and enjoyed having it a lot during the marathon. :)
