The 120 is not the 150
This is a good workout shirt, not a base layer. As the description says it’s got less wool and is cut looser than the 150 which gives it better airflow. The wool content in the shirt is sufficient to keep the odor manageable. Too early to tell if it will hold up as well as the classic. Bottom line is I’d buy the 120 again for what it’s designed for. For a base layer I’d spend a the extra to get the 150.

Good for hot days, size it down

This is a very light and a bit stretchy material, hadn't noticed it wasn't the smartwool 150 shirt and it is only 50% wool but it still feels nice and doesn't stnk so good enough. Wears great on the very hot days. It runs much larger than smartwool 150 shirt size I ordered around 2020, in the photo the gray is this 120 and the 150 is the green on top, both are XL size and no I didn't shrink the 150; most of my clothes are wool and I'm very careful washing them.

Fantastic hot weather shirts!

These shirts are amazing for hot weather! I've become a huge fan of merino wool clothing over the past few years, and these shirts (I own two of them) give all the benefits of merino while being very lightweight and comfortable to wear in hot weather and when you're working up a sweat. They dry VERY quickly just from body heat and minimal air movement, and though they are a merino / lyocell blend they maintain the traditional "stink resistance" of merino. I wear them when hiking and backpacking in summer heat, and now when I am doing workouts as well because I find them more comfortable than synthetic shirts.

Really nice shirt, people like to complain lol

Idk where other people are coming from, but this shirt feels buttery soft. I wear it mostly as an under layer for my Pendleton flannels on chilly days, but standalone it has a nice fit not all tight in the armpits and long like most men’s fashion. I’m 5’7” 140 lbs athletic build and the medium fits me well. Does good for hiking/backpacking too. I can wash it in a river and I’m chilling. Lighter colors might be see through slightly. If you want a skin tight under layer choose a different shirt as this has a nice drape to it. I have a touch aversion to synthetics so this shirt comes in clutch.

Feels good but quite roomy

The fabric is lightweight so good for warm days or as an underlayer. I ordered a men's medium, while I usually buy ladies large, because I wanted upper arm coverage and the current style for most ladies' T shirts is very abbreviated sleeves. The body is also quite long on me and the shirt overall feels quite roomy, so I'd agree that it runs large. But not enough for me to return it!

flimsy

The shirt was great for the two times that I wore it. It developed holes after the first washing and now my $60 tee is unwearable.

ripped on the second hike

Wore this shirt twice, on a day hike and overnight backpack trip. It’s comfortable and stays dry but ripped near my hip belt during the backpack trip.

Choose color carefully

Fit and texture felt great. Unfortunately the "Golden Olive" color is neither Golden nor Olive. The photos on the website lighten the color to my eye and the shirt that arrived looked like it spent some time as a diaper. Bummer. Literally.

Large is very large

Might be a great shirt. Very thin. Returned immediately because large is very large. I am 5' 10" 170. It was too big.
