Smartwool  Ski Full Cushion Over The Calf Socks

I am a pro-patroller at our local mountain ski lodge. Skiing a minimum of 4 days a week from November usually through April. These socks are thin in the right places and heavier where they need to be. They are warm, comfortable and transfer moisture well. The OTC design provides shin cushioning at 10 & 2 o'clock and no slippage. They are also true to size. If I could change one thing I wish the tops and circumference around the calf was a little larger. . . I do have larger than average calves so they are likely fine for most people and in the end they still work well for me. All in all a great product I would highly recommend to others.

Nice ski socks, but holes worn in toe after wearing three times

I use Smartwool Socks when I step into my ski boots. Rightfully so you definitely can't go wrong with Smartwool Socks! They are second to none! The fit is really good the cushioned areas are perfect as far as warmth they do their job and keep your feet warm. I recommend Smartwool Sock for any particular activity skiing,snowboarding,hiking,etc. I've very loyal to Smartwool ever since I first purchased my first pair which is well over 15 years I believe. There is nothing whatsoever that I have disliked about Smartwool Socks!!

I purchased Smartwool Men's PHD Ski Medium Socks because they were so highly rated with great reviews. I needed high quality socks that were warm, comfortable and the right thickness. Because these socks aren't bulky I don't have to struggle like I used to when putting on my ski boots that are snug fitting. Smartwool's realistic sale price allowed me to purchase six pairs of these socks. I can now ski with only one brand to have a consistent feel each day I ski. I plan to give away my old assorted brands of ski socks.

Great sock but they constantly go missing. They normally end up on my mother's feet. Weird right! These socks are why I choose to be single so that I may keep my smart wool. If they could add a gps tracker on each sock, that would be great. All joking aside though, I won't wear another sock skiing. I was introduced 7 years ago and got two pairs. Both of them are still going strong. I now have 6 and refuse to wear anything else.

The color is very neutral and goes well with a lot of colors. They are warm, comfortable and attractive. They are unisex sizing, so they are a little longer and roomier than women's. I just roll the top down a little, which I actually like and they are the right length. I wear a size 10 women's shoe and ordered a size large. They have a nice roomy fit. Not too much but if you have a wide foot, the unisex sizing would be good.

Bought these for our honeymoon ski trip, but also ended up wearing them on wedding day because we got married outside during the MLK weekend big freeze. My feet stayed warm on wedding day (17 deg high) and they also did well during the ski trip. I only felt the cold (15 deg high on the slopes) on a few chairlift rides and quickly warmed up as soon as I kept skiing. Classic warm smartwool socks, just like I hoped for!

Love these ski socks for a number of reasons. And believe me, I am very picky and a life-long skier, expert skier. Great fit, extra thickness at the heal and toe, and front of the boot, if desired, and warm too in cold weather. Pull them up tight once your foot is in the boot, and they won't bunch up. I love the marino wool of course too. I own more than a few pair. To me, this is the best ski sock you can buy.

My husband wears these every day. Both the regular ski sock and the cushioned ski socks. HE LOVES THEM. THEY DO NOT cut circulation off like others do. Support his legs. We are seniors and find these socks the best ever. Because of our fixed income we can only purchase 1 or 3 pairs a month and we will until we both have a supply to wear weekly. Thank you smart wool! I bought these socks in a men's size for my 11-year-old son to wear skating. When he told me they didn't fit, I was skeptical. Then I tried them on and realized that the awesome mountain pattern on the calf area does not stretch at all. It is impossible to pull these socks up to their intended height. Very disappointing, since I am a Smartwool diehard and wear wool socks daily.
