The colors of this backpack make me smile every time I use it. The size of this bag is perfect for the daily grind of carrying everything I need for work and was great for shorter day hikes as well. I have a small frame and thought this backpack fit me perfectly. The zippers are heavy duty and the material feels like it will last a long time. I also really liked the separate laptop sleeve and sleeves in the front pocket to help keep everything organized. My only complaint would be that it doesn't have a water bottle sleeve. I take a water bottle everywhere I go and feel like I can't carry as much because the bottle must be stored in the main compartment.
Love the size, simplicity, and versatility of this pack. I've used it most often for commuting and as a soccer bag to carry my gear for weekly beer league games. So it's great at holding my laptop, water bottle and other work necessities as well as soccer cleats, canned beverages, and a hydration pack. And the bright colors make it easy to spot and identify. The front pockets are great for essentials like my wallet, keys (has a nice clip for them) and chapstick, etc. The material feels really durable as well and like it'll put up with a lot of rough use. Overall, very happy with this pack and can see myself using it for a long time!
This is a very well constructed pack and I love the black/neon colors. However the interior storage is very basic. Feels a lot like an upgraded Jansport though it probably holds a bit less. Also as a woman I find the straps are maybe not designed for my bust so they can cut into my upper arms slightly. This will work well as a commuter bag and stows my tiny laptop well, but it won’t carry anything over 13”. I’m keeping it but I would not recommend this if you want it to also work well as an overnight/travel bag.
The backpack overall is really light weight. It has a computer slot and really awesome zipper that makes it almost impossible for it to snag. It has a flexible bottom that makes it stand up on its own but also compress. I love the colors but I can see the bottom getting pretty dirty quickly because of the mustard yellow.
I have carried the Topo Designs Light Pack as my everyday work bag for several weeks now. Quality is top notch and it comes with a number of features to fit this bill well: light weight, basic organization, and a laptop sleeve (although a bit small for "most 15" laptops" as the description states). I have enough room for my lunch, a clean shirt and sometimes a light jacket as well as a few other essentials. Only minor complaints are that the laptop compartment is a bit undersized. My 15" personal computer fits fine, but my higher end engineering work computer, also 15" does not (can fit in sleeve but bag cannot close around it). Only other complaint is the lack of a side water bottle pocket, in a pack this size even a small water bottle takes up precious internal space.
I recently used the Topo Designs Light Pack to take with me on a flight. The pack was a perfect size to fit some essentials for the plane. It fit perfectly under the seat. It is super comfortable and light which makes it a welcome addition for my travels.
I really love this bag. It's been through playground visits, appointments, hospital stays, and a lot of hard use over the last several months and it looks brand new. I can fit a laptop, multiple kids kindles with bulky cases, 4+ water bottles, charging cords, snacks and spare clothes and it still doesn't feel that heavy. I got sweaty carrying it packed to the brim for 8 hours in 105 degree heat index this week but it wasn't heavy on my shoulders, which was amazing. Totally recommend.
Very cute pack at a reasonable price (especially if on sale), perfect for everyday commuting. My 14 inch laptop fits nice and snug in the laptop pocket, even with an additional padded case around it. I'm most impressed by the YKK zippers - large size and very smooth to open/close. I also like the organizational pockets inside the smaller outer pocket. Definitely recommend!
First, I love the bright colors on this pack. Helps me identify mine in the sea of black and blue bags. Second, this is a great commuter backpack. The laptop slot can fit my thicker Thinkpad just fine and still has room for my lunch box and other items I need for work. Holds it shape well filled or partially filled. Zippers are top notch. Lots of loops to clip gear. My only nitpick, it all bags with a laptop slot should come with a cup/bottle holder. Other than that, I have been loving this pack!
This is the perfect everyday bag for me. Exterior water bottle pockets are a must. The interior is a bright yellow, which makes it so easy to find things that are buried in the bag. The slip in laptop pocket is perfect for my iPad which I take everywhere with me. The front, smaller pocket has lots of space and is well organized for small items. The zippers open really smoothly! Love this bag. Wish that more colors were available.
