Great every day and hiking sandal

I have worn these sandals through quite a few different hikes and across different terrain. They're grippy and great for normal trails and even on shale rocks. These do ok as water sandals but they can get a bit slippery. I have the flattest arches and feel supported wearing these. The sole is thick and sturdy which probably helps with support. They work great for every day wear as well. The wide straps for these Mega Z sandals are sturdier and hold my feet better than the normal thinner strips for the Z sandals in my opinion. The straps did chaffe my pinky toes but once I broke them in they were super comfortable. Overall, I think these are a great buy!

Two years later and they still hold up!

I've had my pair of these thicker-strapped Chacos for about two years now and I figured I'd write a review. I've really enjoyed my pair for the extra support that the larger straps provide. When I first got them, I was underwhelmed and felt that I'd made a mistake with the larger straps. It took about six months of general wear to get them broken in – but as soon as they were broken in – I never wanted to take them off. I have had issues with my arches in the past because I am a student athlete and these still felt like a breeze to wear. Work well as water shoes for me during a few trips through a national forest. The straps are adjustable and are a bit of a learning curve, but once you get your preferred style going, there's really nothing that's holding these sandals back. The footbed is also really nice and super comfortable. I can at least tell that they've made some serious improvements with the Cloud quality. I'm considering getting a second pair because I think I might run my other pair into the ground pretty soon.

Uneven straps

They look nice, but have a major flaw. One of the sandals fit and the other one didn't. I adjusted extensively thinking it was an adjustment issue. I eventually got out the tape measure and found the one of the straps was 4mm shorter than the other. I've had lots of pairs of chacos over the years and these seem to be of the same good quality, but there is clearly a quality control issue.
