I opt to have them surprise me!! Bright colors. Front is Carolina blue.. and I live in NC!! How perfect is that!?!?! I take mine everywhere!! I use it as my daily bag. Love all the mesh pockets. Love how I can carry 2 bottles of water. Colors are perfect !! Everything about my new Batac 16L is PERFECT!!
I bought this bag for a recent trip to Ireland and on the return flight it was "mishandled" in the Atlanta airport. When the bag finally arrived it was filthy and had tire tread marks on it. Even the guys in baggage at my local airport said it was "excessive" and one marveled that it looked like it had been run over - several times. I was crushed because my happy bag as I had dubbed it didn't look so happy anymore (after a single trip). But my bigger concern was the gorgeous wool poncho I had bought and whether it was damaged. The bag protected it and it was just fine! Some Krud Kutter and Dawn and a lot of scrubbing later, the bag, though not totally fine, looks so much better and will live to travel another day. A lesser bag wouldn't have stood up to the "mishandling" so thank you Cotopaxi for making an excellent product. #happybag #happycustomer. FYI, I was so pleased with this bag, I have since purchased the packing cubes, a small backpack, and the accessories bag!#lotsofhappybags!
I bought this pack as a personal item/daypack for a 7 month travel adventure (mostly city-travel initially), and to also extend the capacity of my main pack, which is 30L. I’m on the smaller side (5’3”with 15. 5 inch torso length). I packed it and tried it on but haven’t used it yet. It fits enough stuff (the expected 16 L) but it lacks structure. I saw another review mention that. Due to the lack of structure and padding, I’m not sure how much I’ll like the comfort of it, but I think it’s good enough to give a try. I also liked the colors it came in. It was a little darker/more muted than my preference would be but it’s still nice.
I adore this backpack! I began using it the same day it arrived! There are so many uses for this perfect size! It has been used as a Diaper bag, day outings/excursions, hiking, a weekend travel bag, ect. This bag was purchased for my use specifically (I’m 5’7” for reference) but my husband has enjoyed using it when hiking or as our diaper bag as well. He’s notoriously picky about his packs so this was a feat (he’s 6’4”) the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship of the stitching of the bag is amazing. This bag is rugged and cute with the Del Dia option and will last for years. I do truly enjoy the surprise option of picking Del Dia and seeing what colors I get, as well as giving the artist free rein to express their creativity. Everything this company stands for as well as the quality of all of their products will keep me coming back over and over again! The bag has one large main compartment with a small net zipper pocket at the top of that compartment. There is a side zip pocket that starts just below the top of the bag but it can only open on the side, which is helpful if you pull the pack off one shoulder and need quick access to items. There is a small netted open pocket that is also sideways within that section that you could use for your phone or other items you want to keep secured. 2 mesh water bottle pockets. We used 24oz water bottles and those fit great. I would imagine a 30-32 oz would fit (snuggly) but a 40oz would defiently not fit. The mesh on the underside of the straps is incredibly comfortable and allows breathability, especially when hiking. The bag also has a chest strap which was very comfortable as well and helped make sure pressure was evenly distributed. I can’t say enough good things about this bag! Get yours now, you won’t regret it!
Just got my first Cotopaxi Batac backpack after seeing my friend carry one during our Mexico trip. It seemed so easy to travel with and the colors are fun. I had ordered the Batac 24, but I returned it bc ultimately it was too big for how I wanted to use it and looked boxy. I’m about 5’4 and wanted something smaller. The Batac 16 is for me to carry minimal things with plenty of pockets, and be somewhat multifunctional and cute. So when my order came in, I knew it was meant for me instantly. The side pockets don’t fit my hydroflask, but it does fine with the skinny tumblers. I love my Batac 16!
Love my bag so much. Super roomy, cute, very comfy shoulder straps and the colors are excellent. I also love the company mission statement. My kid now wants a cotopaxi bag for her climbing gear and can’t wait to see what colors she gets.
Amazing! There is a lot of room in the big pocket and all the other smaller ones, the water bottle holder fits my nalgene perfectly. All together it’s perfect, great for small hikes and everyday use
Bought this backpack a few weeks ago and it goes everywhere with me! Been using it for all my camping and hiking. I love it so much and have received so many compliments!
I use this for every day adventures; you know the kind: carting two small kids through the wilds of life while balancing the dramatic changes in Maine weather. I’m using every pocket of this baby for coats, snacks, diapers, dolls, stuffies, you name it. On my days “off” I take my pack to work and am so excited to be done with the heavy shoulder bags that were throwing out my back. Planning on taking this and some ither cotopaxi bags to Puerto Rico this month and I know they are up to the task! Also going to buy one for my twin sister on our birthday. She’s a livestock farmer and a young mom, and also could use a bit of beautiful function in her life!
The bag is beautiful and feels great being worn, and holds everything wonderfully, and my toddler is in love with it and made me take it everywhere so that we could show everyone, BUT the front panel ripped shortly after we received it. The material just isn’t very strong and even though we never put a whole bunch of stuff in, it ripped when the cord was tugged a little. It can be patched, but it should not tear that easily.
Hi Trina! Oh no! I just sent you an email so we can make sure to get you taken care of :)
