Clarkia Supremacy…Best Pants EVER!

These are the best, most comfortable pants on planet earth & the olive moss color way is so flattering. I bought these pants for my partner as a Christmas present & I wish I had just kept them for me. We both are in love with them & I so wish for the size 8 short to be restocked. Technical Specs…. Size: 8R Fit: I am 5’2 and 168 (26” inseam) / he is 5’7 and 174 (27” inseam). We both wear a 32” men’s pant. The waist is a perfect fit on both of us. The clarkias have generous room in the waist & hips….and the belt adjuster is simple and doesn’t get in the way. The length of the regular inseam is definitely a bit long on both of us but they roll up seamlessly and it doesn’t make the pant look chunky. The material is so soft yet durable. I have been handwashing them and spot stain treating and they look good as new! The Clarkias move with your body and don’t restrict you in any way. They also don’t get caught on anything while bushwhacking. My partners first day wearing them he fell through the ice while skating (he’s fine) and the pants were fully dry in less than 20 minutes! I would suggest getting these pants, I hope you experience the joy of the clarkia’s as much as us!

BUYYYYTHEMMMM

The Clarkia pant is king you guys. If you don’t own a pair you must purchase. I bought the original Clarkia pant and fell in love. When they came out with the new cotton material I just had to try them. Here are the major differences I’ve found between the two. Cotton Clarkia -one snap button -one side pocket -no drawstring at the ankle -thick matte material -still very stretchy for weight of pant Original Clarkia -two snap buttons -drawstring that seems to taper pants a little more -zipper pocket and side pocket -slippery and every so slightly swishy material -extremely stretchy It really depends on what you want to do in these pants! The original is THE PERFECT climbing pant. The cotton one is still an amazingly cute everyday pant. I bought the cotton version thinking they would be warmer for winter as the originals are so light and breathable they feel like you’re wearing nothing. I do think the cotton ones would be sick with a bottom drawstring though even though their function is more everyday wear? You still could climb in these as I said they are still stretchy. I can squat all the way to the ground in both haha. Sizing wise they do run big. I bought a size 0R in the originals and a 0S in the cotton. I am 25/26 in pants and 5’3. I will link pictures for comparison. I could go up a size if I wanted and use the waist band to tighten but I felt like my legs got swallowed up in material. Both pairs are great- really depends on what you want to do in them!!

The best pants your money can buy

Maybe I’m a little biased because my entire wardrobe is Arc’teryx so you can call me a fan girl at this point… however- These are, hands down, the most comfortable and durable pants you will ever own. I am obsessed. I also feel like they’re one of the few pants I have that are really true to size. If you like a trimmer fit you can definitely size down in these. I hope they keep coming out with super fun and bright colors. I am always wearing my stone red and olive moss Clarkias and get compliments about them often. Please, never stop making these, Arc’teryx.

Holy Comfort Batman!

I am a male and these are my absolute favourite pants Arc'teryx has ever made! I prefer the fit of the Clarkia cotton over the M's Cronin cotton as they are looser. This allows for better movement but mostly love the style of them. It would be nice if they have a zipper thigh pocket and an opened on like the M's Cronin cotton did but that is only an issue when I am using these climbing. While using to daily wear this is no issue at all. I am a size M or 32 in men's pants and find that the size 8 fits best although I can also use the 10 and cinch the waist more if needed. Make more of them please!! They are always sold out :(

Amazing.

These pants are amazing. I did not expect them to be so stretchy, considering that they are made of cotton, but they have quite a lot of stretch to them. This makes them incredibly comfortable. I was a bit unsure about the sizing, considering I've read quite different reviews about whether or not to size down. I went with size 6. I'm 158 cm (5'2"), 65 kg (143 lbs). These pants fit me perfect in the waist, and are still baggy in the legs. I went with the short size, and these hit right at the ankle. The only slight negative is, that they do make a little bit of sound when walking, but nothing I would consider too bothersome.

Love these pants- so comfy!

I kept seeing ads for these pants and they sure looked comfy, and boy howdy were the ads right! They are SO comfy. They look nice too! The fabric is a tiny bit loud and swishy, but they also don't really wrinkle much and look fresh even after a day of wearing around. I'm excited to see how well these work over time. The sizing seems true, and the length was also as expected. They are flattering for a wider leg cut, in my opinion. I bought one pair and then as soon as I'd worn them one day, I bought another color as well since they were so comfy. I'd been dreading buying new pants and hadn't for years, bought these without trying on in person and I'm SO glad I did!

The dream pant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants fit like heaven. Comfortable on the waist, generous through the hip and thigh, soft in texture and the ideal amount of give/stretch. Wondrously deep pockets, including the rare-but-glorious side-leg cellphone pocket (fits my iPhone Max). I’ve been traveling and wore them for 48 hours in planes/trains/cars, and they were as comfy as pajamas. And each time I put them on again, they look fresh as straight out of the laundry. I’m a strength coach and built like a linebacker, 5’10”, 180lbs, 33” inseam, 32” waist, 45” hips and thicc thighs, and utterly no “women’s” pants fit me well — or any other kinds of pants for that matter. But the 12T in these feel like they were made for me. A hot minute after trying on my first pair, I was online buying a second pair, despite the price. Thank you, Arc’teryx!

Repeat buyer - disappointed in color & fit changes

I wrote a 5 star review on these pants a few months ago. That review still holds for those pants. I just bought the Mongoose pants as soon as they released last week. They aren’t it. Right out of the box, the color looks like you washed it 10 times and let it dry in the beating sun for 12 hours every time. It’s a faded and dull color. Do not recommend. Color seems to me the only issue I have with these pants - the old and the new. The previous ones showed fading after a few washes. The black turns greyer and greyer every wash ( it’s been dried away from the sun). A bit disappointed. I also do notice a difference in the fit with the new color (Mongoose). Inconsistent sizing across colors

Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback and for coming back to the Clarkia Pants after having such a great experience with your previous pair. We're sorry to hear the Mongoose colourway didn't meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it can be when a new addition to a favourite style feels different, especially when it comes to colour and fit. We appreciate you taking the time to share the fading you've experienced and the sizing differences you've noticed across colourways. Feedback like yours is invaluable, and we'll be sure to share your comments with our product team for future revisions.

10/10 pants

Love these pants. I had been waiting for months for a restock and was finally able to snag them. I ordered both a size 4 and a size 4 (5’7”, ~125 lbs, 25” waist, 36” hips). The size 4 are definitely oversized, but the built in belt really helps with the waist fit! The size 2 are perfect off the rip. I’m keeping both! The length hits right around the heel, so they can be worn rolled or loose- looks good either way. I’ve worn them climbing a handful of times over the last week, and the fabric is holding up really well. So happy with these pants, will probably buy some in another color in the future!

Inconsistent Quality Between Identical Pairs

I purchased two sizes of the same Arc'teryx pants in the black color about a month apart, and was surprised by the inconsistency in fabric quality. One pair feels durable and well-made, while the other is noticeably thinner and already shows signs of pilling despite being unworn. For a brand at this price point, I expect strong quality control and consistency between products. I’ve also noticed similar feedback in recent reviews, which makes me wonder if there’s been a change in materials or manufacturing. Still a great design and fit, but the inconsistency makes it hard to justify the cost.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your review of the Clarkia Cotton Pant. We are sorry to hear that the fabric felt different between the same garment in the same colourway. That's not the experience we want our guests to have. The Clarkia Cotton has not changed since 2024, and the fabric composition should be consistent among the same colourway. We genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and your feedback will be shared with our product team to help us continue improving. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
