The Clarkia pant is king you guys. If you don’t own a pair you must purchase. I bought the original Clarkia pant and fell in love. When they came out with the new cotton material I just had to try them. Here are the major differences I’ve found between the two. Cotton Clarkia -one snap button -one side pocket -no drawstring at the ankle -thick matte material -still very stretchy for weight of pant Original Clarkia -two snap buttons -drawstring that seems to taper pants a little more -zipper pocket and side pocket -slippery and every so slightly swishy material -extremely stretchy It really depends on what you want to do in these pants! The original is THE PERFECT climbing pant. The cotton one is still an amazingly cute everyday pant. I bought the cotton version thinking they would be warmer for winter as the originals are so light and breathable they feel like you’re wearing nothing. I do think the cotton ones would be sick with a bottom drawstring though even though their function is more everyday wear? You still could climb in these as I said they are still stretchy. I can squat all the way to the ground in both haha. Sizing wise they do run big. I bought a size 0R in the originals and a 0S in the cotton. I am 25/26 in pants and 5’3. I will link pictures for comparison. I could go up a size if I wanted and use the waist band to tighten but I felt like my legs got swallowed up in material. Both pairs are great- really depends on what you want to do in them!!
I am a male and these are my absolute favourite pants Arc'teryx has ever made! I prefer the fit of the Clarkia cotton over the M's Cronin cotton as they are looser. This allows for better movement but mostly love the style of them. It would be nice if they have a zipper thigh pocket and an opened on like the M's Cronin cotton did but that is only an issue when I am using these climbing. While using to daily wear this is no issue at all. I am a size M or 32 in men's pants and find that the size 8 fits best although I can also use the 10 and cinch the waist more if needed. Make more of them please!! They are always sold out :(
These pants fit like heaven. Comfortable on the waist, generous through the hip and thigh, soft in texture and the ideal amount of give/stretch. Wondrously deep pockets, including the rare-but-glorious side-leg cellphone pocket (fits my iPhone Max). I’ve been traveling and wore them for 48 hours in planes/trains/cars, and they were as comfy as pajamas. And each time I put them on again, they look fresh as straight out of the laundry. I’m a strength coach and built like a linebacker, 5’10”, 180lbs, 33” inseam, 32” waist, 45” hips and thicc thighs, and utterly no “women’s” pants fit me well — or any other kinds of pants for that matter. But the 12T in these feel like they were made for me. A hot minute after trying on my first pair, I was online buying a second pair, despite the price. Thank you, Arc’teryx!
Love these pants- great, flattering cut while managing to hit the relaxed trend. They fit true to size through the body, but are very long (I manage to roll them to a crop length and still have them look cool.) If I had more pairs I would consider getting them all hemmed since they are so comfortable, BUT these pants have been out of stock forever in the bases sizes. The material has great body/stability with a natural hand, and the amount of stretch is perfect. I would prefer the logo be DTM the body (FWIW,) making them more versatile. When you bring them back, ArcTeryx?!?
In love with these pants! Usually Arcteryx pants don’t fit me because I’m more curvy but these are perfect 😭 They fit everywhere and are more loose. The waist band isn’t too tight and the cinch on it is super helpful as well. I’m usually between a 12 and 14 with Arcteryx and I ordered a 12 and still have some room in the pants. I have shorter legs so they’re a bit longer but roll up without looking weird. The material is comfortable and not too heavy or too light. 10/10 recommend these pants and this fit! I’m so glad to have found pants that actually work for my body type.
These are the best and only climbing pants I've ever owned. Technical pants have never fit this comfortable or well for my body type and I have a big booty, small waist, and a bigger midsection. I can dress them up which is also a bonus! The waist is adjustable, and I wish there was a horizontal pocket that zipped instead of the open concept. I can't go back to wearing leggings anymore for bigger days on the mountain and I'm so stoked on how durable they are for all the outdoor purposes. Well done Arc'teryx! Make them in all the colors!!!
I'm always wary about buying climbing trousers as most of them are just as restrictive as jeans, unflattering or don't fit my thighs, but I took a chance with these ones as they are wide pant. My jaw literally dropped when I tried them on, they are so hot! Super cute cut and I somehow have more freedom of movement than I do in leggings. They also come up quite big on the waist which is nice, you can tighten it to your size, i'll definitely be using these as overtrousers in light rain. Going to buy another pair in a different colour now.
Truly my favorite pants Arc'teryx has ever made. This is the first pair of pants that have ever fit me and my friends the same when in our correct sizes. They are my favorite pants to bike to the gym and then climb in because there is truly no restriction and they are just all around comfortable. They are thicker so I would not wear when hot out but on a super windy day they are some of the best protection I have from the wind and to still look put together. These are also the first pair of climbing pants I have owned that I have actually worn from the office to the gym and got compliments every step of the way. As someone with wider hips and thighs these pants allow for so much movement, comfort, and actually do everything they say and more comfortably.
I wear between a 4 and a 6 in most pants. And I can do a short or regular inseam. I'm 5'6", 135lbs, and I have muscular thighs but a smaller waist. I was super unsure what size to buy so ended up getting two since I knew they would sell out. I bought a 4S and a 6R. The 4S fits PERFECTLY, 6R is a bit too loose for my liking. I can still make them fit my waist but the legs are a bit too balloony for me. With that, I would say you should definitely order the smaller size. These run big!
It's always a struggle to find climbing pants that are breathable, nice to touch, durable, and stylish. I dislike synthetic materials generally, so I was thrilled to find these cotton pants that move and stand up to the abuse of outdoor (and let's be honest, indoor) bouldering. I find many climbing pants to be too tight and, most importantly, ugly. These pants are neither! I love how they look, and they have so many pockets! Hallelujah! I need to get another pair to stock up!
