A super warm , good looking winter jacket
I loved this product. I was looking for a winter jacket that is both warm and waterproof. More like a jacket I can wear while camping and hiking in the winter without worrying about much layering. Also I wanted something that looks good in pictures and fits me well rather than making me look bulky. This jacket looked amazing in pictures and kept me very warm and was waterproof. However I did get too warm while hiking and snowshoeing but that was expected after all. I did change into a lighter jacket during hike. However this works best in every other way possible. Could be lighter though.
Exceptional quality and comfort!
So glad I happened upon this Obermeyer jacket for a winter trip to Scandinavia. Real warmth, not just "puff." Looks nice enough to wear for evening. Thoughtful design: soft sleeves insulate around your wrists. The hood is adjustable and keeps head/side of face warm. Furry surround can be removed (but I like it for cold weather!) Solid zippers that do not stick. Classy and well made. Love it. This is not a packable, lightweight puffer coat that folds into its pocket. It's a real, rootin' tootin' insulated jacket like you'd find in Europe.
This jacket is very warm and better than down
This is very warm--poly fiber insulation (I was told) is better than down feathers. I love the warm hood with removable fake fur, love the light blue color. Found it in the sky area at REI. I also love the zipper pockets and the inner sleeve liners that keep snow and rain from getting inside the coat sleeves. These are also long enough to help insulate hands if you have to do something that need more dexterity than ski gloves can do. It is also more affordable than the down jackets. I picked a size 12 to allow room for bulky sweaters underneath.
Great and warm, 0% waterproof
Have used it for skiing for a few years and it’s great stylish and very warm when layered properly. The one thing I did not expect, is that it’s not waterproof whatsoever. I wore it in Chicago In light rain and within a few minutes, it completely soaked through to my clothes.So definitely not even water resistant in my opinion. Great jacket otherwise.
Arms are surprisingly tight
I’m 5’3” tall, and weigh 122 lbs. I ordered size M. the arms of this jacket are surprisingly tight even though I’m only wearing a long sleeve, cotton T-shirt, and a thin cashmere sweater. I am not a weight lifter with big muscles. I have normally thin arms for a woman of my age (67). During a short walk with my dog yesterday, my arms actually got cold. While the jacket fits across my shoulders the way it should, it just isn’t correctly proportioned in the arms. I had high hopes for this jacket, but sadly it’s going to be returned, and I’ll look for a different brand.
What a WARM coat!
What a warm yet stylish jacket! This coat fits me perfectly! The sleeves are a great length and have a soft inner sleeve that adds warmth. I am 5'4" tall and weigh 135 pounds. I have an athletic build, and selected the size 10.

Outstanding jacket. I got it in size 18, I'm 5'9 and 255lbs. It's warm and comfortable in freezing weather. I'm surprised other reviews said it was too warm and/or arms were tight. Neither is a problem for me. I've received lots of compliments. I'm using it for hiking and daily walks, and like that it's nice enough to wear with jeans.
Runs extremely small
Jacket is beautiful, but size runs extremely small. I will have to return the item. Very disappointed in sizing.
Beautiful ski jacket
Gorgeous coat, well-made, feels warm and has ample pockets and other features hand for snow skiing. I ordered size 12 which is my normal size. It fit but was too snug under the arms and across my chest. It didn't do much for my shape as it flattened my chest. I think a size up would be too long in the arms and too wide across the waist and hips. So, sadly I am returning.
Great jacket, but size up
I bought this jacket for a trip to Colorado and it was perfect! I am 5'2/165 lbs with a bigger chest (I normally wear a 12/14 in tops/jackets) and I bought a 14 petite. Size up with this one.
