Whatever You Are Doing In The Snow, These Work.
Bought these for a February camping and skiing trip in Colorado. The temperature was 11° when we set off in the early afternoon in light snow. In the early evening the wind became so strong that the snow-covered road we had come up on was largely swept clear and the temperature dropped significantly. The pants kept we warm and dry with just a base layer despite the wind and the fact that I spent a significant amount of time kneeling as we dug out our shelter. We then went skiing for two days with temperatures in the 20’s. The pant were still comfortable, this time without a base layer.
Great all-around snow pants.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned the Bugaboo 3 and 4 and know just bought these new ones. The material felt sturdy and flexible. The pants kept me warm in mid 20-degree temperatures. The melting snow beaded right off so the water wasn't soaking into the pants. The sizing chart was accurate, and I received the correct order the first try. I ordered the same size that I would have in regular pants. While snowboarding they were very comfortable with no binding or movement impairment at all. If I needed A new pair, I would purchase these again. For the price and quality, I would buy them if you're in the market for great snow pants at a good price.
Good enough for Himalayas in the middle of winter
I wore these on the higher elevations on my trek to Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) in the middle of winter. I wore a medium weight thermal baselayer underneath. These snow pants kept me nice and warm. The fit was comfortable. My range of motion was not constricted as I climbed onto and over large boulders. At night, the temperature dropped to -20 (or lower) Celsius and these pants + baselayer kept me warm.
Ski pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these 2 seasons ago for alpine skiing. The pants ripped at the bottom on my second day skiing. They have kept me warm and are breathable but are not durable. I have continued to use them since (19 ski days) but would not repurchase once they get fully destroyed
Solid snow pants, and comfortable for my son
Solid comfortable pants that my son really likes. My son has always had bibbed snow pants and this year wanted to try a pair that was just the pants. He tried a few different brands and other Columbia varieties, but the feature that sets this pair out from the others he has tried is the velcro adjusters on the sides. This helps ensure that the pants fit snug and have a little give as he is still growing. But these pants are warm, comfortable, and easy to put on and take off.
Customized fit with Velcro tabs on each side.
Went to local store and they did not the size pants that I needed. Just received today and tried them on. They fit is good. They have adjustable Velcro tabs in each side so the fit can be customized. I have a Columbia coat with the Omniheat technology which is about 8 years old and I really like the warmth that it provides. I got these pants for a trip to Norway in March and I think with just my base layer and these pants , I will be plenty warm
Simple & effective
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great ski pants! Took them skiing this weekend & they did great. Keeps you warm, fits well. Simple & effective. Good range of motion. As a 153 pound, 5 foot 7 male, a small fit me perfectly (30 size waist). The only thing that could be a helpful addition is to have pockets on the lower thigh (my old pants had this & was pretty convenient). That's not a deal breaker though & these are good pants, feels durable & comfortable.
Bad sizing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a size Large and they were huge! At least 3-4 inches extra in the front. Returned them and bought a size medium and they are too tight, barely can snap. There is no middle size where these would fit comfortably. Sizing is way off or we just got two bad ones. They can’t be adjusted as it says there is just Velcro that you can pull a little tighter but not an extra four inches.
Comfortable for big guys but slide down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered to ski. Fit was great for a big guy. On the second day I wore them, the pants ripped open on the pant leg seam half way down my leg. Also, I wish the waist band had some rubber or some material to keep these from sliding down. When active, I had to keep pulling these up after runs. Wish I had gotten a bib instead. Will keep them for now and stitch up the rip.
Great Pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these pants because I knew I would be outside in the polar vortex for hours upon hours. I wore long Johns and fleece sweat pants. I was sweating. These pants kept my legs so warm and dry. The best snow/ski pants I’ve owned. Can’t wait to see how they do on the slopes. Go a size up if you want to wear pants underneath.
