I wore this product in Ukraine. It is not well suited for serious winters. At temperatures lower than 40 degrees you get cold. I bought the REI Stormhenge jacket. I have yet to be cold wearing the Stormhenge at any time in Ukraine, Switzerland, the mountains of Arizona in winter...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my birthday 2 years ago. I literally wear it all the time. I thought it would just be my snowboarding jacket at first but now I can't live without it. If it is under 40 degrees this is the jacket I take all the time.
This is my second North Face Triclimate jacket, and it's just as impressive as the first! The 3-in-1 design is incredibly versatile-perfect for all seasons. I love how the outer shell keeps me completely dry during rain or snow, while the inner layer provides excellent warmth on cold days. The fit is spot-on, with enough room for layering without feeling bulky. The materials are durable and handle outdoor activities like hiking and skiing effortlessly. It's also stylish enough for everyday wear. If you're looking for a jacket that can adapt to any weather and last for years, the Triclimate is worth every penny. Highly recommended! Rating: ★★★★★
I have owned North face jackets for like two decades, the Thermoball Eco Snow Triclimate jacket feels very comfortable, warm and it’s very well made/construction. But the only issue I have was the way it was packaged, it seems like it was just thrown into the box without any plastic enclosure. Even the tape didn’t properly secure the box, in which I could feel and see the fabric before opening the box? REI has to do a better job in packaging. I was in shock to see that the jacket had no plastic enclosure to protect it from the elements, a cardboard box alone is not sufficient to protect it from the elements. Luckily the jacket was intact and no stains. It’s a beautiful jacket but REI has to do a better job in protecting its merchandise while in transit to the consumer.
I purchased this jacket primarily for downhill skiing in Colorado and it has been excellent. I love all the pockets and the fit. I'm 5'11", 165 and the medium fits well. It is longer than my last jacket, but not so long as to be a problem. I wear a 40oz camelback under the jacket when skiing, which makes the fit just a little bit snug, but workable. Today I skied in zero degree weather (fahrenheit) and it kept me pretty warm. I also appreciate the NorthFace quality - i had previously purchased a similar jacket from Columbia, but the zippers and overall construction were cheap and not built to last.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my husband for his birthday before our trip to Whistler, BC. It is INCREDIBLY WARM! Love the look and the fit. Both the shell and the midlayer are easy to wear separately. For warmer skiing days (35°F or so) I'd recommend using just the shell and getting a thin midlayer vest. The midlayer insulated coat and the shell together is too much.
Size small runs just large enough for me. 5'7", 140#. Very warm, even without liner. Missing is two way zipper and secure pocket for wallet inside shell. For some reason front upper pocket is on Right side. Why? Was this designed for lefties? It sure would be nice to have two front pockets.
I wear a 2XL in everything. Never have had a problem with sleeve length. The sleeves on this were way too long. I wear a 35 dress shirt. The sleeves came down past my knuckles. So disappointed.
I bought this coat three years ago. It's still amazing. Keeps me warm, but lets me vent heat if I'm too warm. Inner jacket is also stylish for warmer days. I recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for our Alaska trip and it kept me really warm. I also liked the hoodie and the wind/water resistant material.
