[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes have been an excellent addition to my arsenal for inclement weather or off road (wet/muddy) situations. With a pair of gaiters they are unstoppable! The support and comfort that they offer is exactly what we've come to expect from Brooks. I would definitely recommend these to someone who wants to be able to run in all conditions. The tread pattern is designed very well to grab wet rocks and loose dirt to keep you stable during your ascent/descent, I haven't once been nervous about twisting an ankle in these shoes! They do not run too warm during the summer, especially if you're running on shaded trails, but I'd also imagine that they'll be good for winter months, as they seem well insulated!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a runner that traditionally wears Adrenaline GTS shoes; I use their stability as the benchmark for other shoes. While the Cascadia’s Trail Adapt system is noticeably present, there seemed to be a need for more protection against pronation. The toe box cut in slightly on the outside but overall they’re very comfortable. The soles are grippy and appreciate them being waterproof yet breathable! In terms of style, the color scheme isn’t my top choice but then again, the louder the color scheme, the better, personally!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are great, but run small amd have a snug fit. I'd recommend getting a half size up from what you normally wear. The style of the shoe is okay, but nothing that wows me. It doesn't have a sleek look which doesn't make me want to wear them outside my training and competition runs. Although they are snug, I love how light they are and the feel on the bottom of the shoe is great when running. There is flexibility and doesn't trap sweat, which is important for runners of all levels.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Cascadia 18 GTX is the perfect shoe for trail running. The gore-tex waterproof material was a pleasant surprise that kept my feet dry on rainy days. They have plenty of cushioning and support for longer runs. The Cascadia 18 GTX traction is also great and provides a stable feel on a variety of surfaces. These shoes are well-constructed and durable. These should be great for many years of use. It's hard to beat the Brooks Cascadia 18 GTX!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd brooks shoes and love the consistency of how each brooks is built to make you want to move and the Cascadia 18 GTX is no different. This one is for those that like the more traditional mesh feel but it has an outsole rubber to help with traction on wet and dry surface. I primarily run on the concrete street jungle but there are occasions I go through some uneven pavement and grassy hilly parks and this shoe is confidently sturdy. The fit and finish is true to size and I'm able to slip on and go without thinking. I like the overall comfort and gives me good road feel without compromising my ankle running over rocks. Highly recommended and wouldn't change anything.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let’s go! Ready to set out on the trail with this lightweight, stable, traction-giving trail runner. The cushioning was soft in different terrains, wet and dry, and the shoes still allowed my feet to breathe while giving Gore-Tex protection (waterproof, breathable) in the high-wear areas without being excessive. Fit is true to size, giving solid support. Nice, simple design, but note that there's no reflective material for night running.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes were a great pair for running off roads. I run in dusty, rough ground areas, moving through woods and up hills. These shoes have fantastic grip on them, and are not an issue off road. I also used these shoes a lot for hiking. I’m moving with my family in national parks on trail, and the shoes worked great. They were nice to use on dirty trails. The water proof is great, and they works well in short water. However, any water touching to socks, quickly gets pulled in to make your feet cool. Great for rain issues, but not great for wet, puddling trails. They were a bit thinner than I expected, being a little tight for me (I like wide ones). They still adjusted for my feet after time, and they are good to wear. Overall- great running in offsite trails, in rainy weather. Better for me as a hiking shoe actually. Not great in deep water or extremely wide feet. Very waterproof!
I work at an auto dealership taking photos on a gravel lot. I was tearing up regular tennis shoes too quickly and boots were too heavy for the amount of steps I am taking. These have been great, nice and light but still rugged enough for a lot of steps in the gravel. They seemed a little narrow first time I put them on but after a few wears they fit pretty well true to size.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently started training in the Cascadia 18 GTX Trail Running Shoes, and am thoroughly impressed. From the moment I put them on, the comfort was exceptional. The cushioning is perfect, providing great support without being bulky, and my feet stay comfortable even on long runs. The traction on these shoes is outstanding. They grip various terrains, from muddy paths to rocky trails, with ease. I feel confident running on any surface, even in wet conditions, thanks to their excellent stability. Durability is another key feature that I enjoy. After several intense trail runs, they show minimal signs of wear, and the high-quality materials promise long-lasting performance. I also appreciate the breathable upper, which keeps my feet cool and dry, and the secure lacing system for a snug fit without pressure points. The fabric is water resistant that helps keep water out and my feet dry. I highly recommend the Cascadia 18 GTX to anyone looking to enhance their trail running experience. Overall, excellent shoe!
These were great shoes while they lasted. Unfortunately, the heel padding worn out in less than 3 months causing blisters. These shoes have GREAT potential if made more durable. I hope Brooks take this into consideration for the next iteration!
