Disappointing. I got this bag to replace a different bag to use while travelling. The description said it was bigger and the pics show it being evenly full so I thought it’d work well. But the top front pocket only goes to about 1/3 of the way down the bag, so if you put handy things in it, it bulks up and makes it difficult to put things in the main compartment. It’s a weird design. On the upside, it never feels heavy on my back, even when full. I would love this bag if not for this strange front pocket that renders most of the rest of the bag somewhat unusable.
I bought this backpack for my 8 year old daughter. Her first North Face backpack! The backpack has many adjustable straps allowing for a nice, snug fit...definitely room to grow into! Plenty of pockets and storage compartments for all of the things that kids need these days! There is nice padding on the straps so a heavy load is still comfortable to carry for a little body!
The water bottle pockets are so tight that two hands are needed to fit even a 22 oz water bottle. The bungee cords for those pockets can’t be loosened enough to make the pockets easier to access. A definite design flaw. Too bad, because this backpack was exactly what I’d been looking for.
Bad design on this bag. Hard to store items in the bottom of the largest compartment. The compartment for smaller items is at the top of the bag, making it very top heavy and unbalanced. The bag will not stand up when you are loading it or unloading it and it constantly falls over.
One of the few daypacks large enough to hold a high schoolers heavy books. That said, the fabric on the side split and frayed after one year of hard, everyday use. The Jester lasted much longer, still going, in fact, but is a bit too small for us.
Perfect for school and ready to switch to travel. My daughter was super excited when it backpack came in.
This back pack has been extremely reliable. My wife loves taking it on hikes or just for a roadtrip.
