Springy AND Cushiony - Perfect for Walking

I’ve worn Saucony walking shoes for years after a podiatrist recommendation when I broke my foot (I also have chronic pain from lupus and being terribly overweight). Wanting something lighter and less “old lady” looking, I blind-bought the Triumph 22 after researching reviews for almost a year and even asking AI for comparisons. I am so glad I took the plunge! Let me preface this review: I do not/cannot run…these are for walking and standing only. They are super comfortable right out of the box, they’re both springy and cushiony, eliminating the need for inserts, they don’t shove my feet forward, and they are keeping me from underpronating (supinating?). They also support my arches, having a roomy toe box, and my heels aren’t hurting. They do all of this perfectly and look far more stylish than traditional walking shoes. I tried Brooks Ghost a few years ago because I didn’t have a store near me that carried Saucony’s, but I had to buy inserts and they also felt like they didn’t “lock and load” my heels or ankles properly. Suffice it to say, I will never buy another brand of running/walking shoe. Now if only Saucony would make tennis shoe heels…

Super comfortable & room for custom orthotics

My new favorite shoe for every day wear. I was a Hoka Bondi 6 & 7 girl but they rip around my pinky toe and look and feel hideous. So far these are fine but only time will tell. These are equally as comfortable as the Bondi 6, very roomy if you wear custom full shoe orthotics, and super comfortable all around. I like the simplicity of the style of the shoe, and the toned down colors, not crazy looking like so many out there. So bottom line, if they hold up well and keep the nice colors (wine or burgundy & light Grey with Coral colors), I'd be very happy!

Bulky and large fit

I normally run in the Endorphin Pros and Speeds, but suffered a leg fracture and needed a less aggressive shoe when I could get back to running. I started with the Triumph 21 and loved it. I bought the Triumph 22 6 weeks ago. When I put them on they swallowed my foot. I checked the sizing to make sure I got my usual size 9. The shoe is VERY bulky (structurally), wide, and long. They feel like clown shoes. They moved around on my feet when I ran. I also felt like I was sinking into the ground with each step. I can’t return these and the shoe is too expensive to try a smaller size. I’m holding out hope that Saucony listens and brings back more characteristics like the 21 had.

Bring back the older model designs!

I’ve worn Saucony Triump shoes for 15+ years. I get a new pair every six months. I put on my new pair yesterday and was completely disappointed. The redesign is not an improvement. In fact, it makes me want to switch to HOKA. (I can’t believe I am even saying that) The foam is hard on the 22’s, there is a gap I can not tighten around the ankles and the overall shoe is much wider which cause my feet to slide and cause blisters. I usually wear my Saucony’s all day long. But after my five mile walk, I couldn’t wait to get home and take them off. Please change the Triump back to what it was.

Great for my joints!

These shoes are just what I needed as a 55 year old who loves to exercise/walk at a fast pace. On various occasions, I’ve experienced ankle, knee or hip pain from walking like I do. I don’t want to give up being outside and walking, so I recently searched for the perfect shoe and found these. At first, it felt differently. It was like walking on a mattress when I wore them around the house just trying them on. But then, I hit the pavement and absolutely fell in love. I bought the pale blue color; it’s a perfect color. I’m not a fan of white, black, or those loud colored shoes other brands have. Thank you for designing a shoe that has motivated me to keep up my pace and schedule without fear of aches and pain afterward.

Supportive but not durable

Ran over 50km, it’s great! Foam sole peels however

I miss the original shoe, too over cushioned now!

I miss the old Triumph! The excessive cushion (which I assume is to appeal to the super thick sole style these days) is not working! Lots of instability and the foamy base just makes running more difficult. I’m not sure it’s actually good for feet to have so much cushion, more of a ‘looks’ thing than a tested running necessity. When I tired them on and put even the slightest weight distribution towards my heels like when simply standing around, I fall backwards. My Triumph 19s were the best shoe ever but unfortunately reached the end of their life. I’ll have to keep looking for a replacement. Super disappointed with the new style.

Love the cushion

I love this shoe albeit for the drop. I had surgery for morton's neuroma many years ago so my left foot appreciates that wonderful cushioning .The cushion just hugs my foot in all the right places, but if this shoe were a 8mm drop my knees would appreciate it slightly more. I have the Ride 17's as well and enjoy them however, the cushioning is nowhere as pleasant as the T22's. I need my forefoot brought up slightly and I am a mid foot striker. If the next version of Ride could have the same powerun+pb foam my feet would be in heaven and I would be sure to have multiple colors of them! Or perhaps lower the drop on the next T23 and I would snatch them up as well!!😁

Poor 22 design>>>Forefoot Blisters!

Had high hopes for this shoe as a longstanding Triumph user but very disappointed in the fit compared to the 21. I used the 22's once and ended up with blisters near great toe MTP joint on both feet after 3 miles even with the shoe laced and tied appropriately. Attempted to begin a second run in them but the shoe felt off the the same locations as with the first run. Something about the new forefoot design where the insole meets the shoes edges is troublesome. I've never had this problem with my triumphs EVER. I went back to my 21s which I've never had a problem with (no issue with prior versions either)!!!

Super comfortable in all ways!

Best version of Triumphs yet!! I’ve been wearing triumphs for very long time as my recovery issue. These ones fit the absolute best. I love bit wider mid foot and my toes do not feel crunched at the front. They are true to size I wear my same size and do not have the size up like I do in the endorphin line. They’re super comfortable. I just wish they came in fun neon colors like the endorphin line - the current colors are pretty neutral/boring.
