This is my go-to outer layer to wear in the fall and I’ve had it for 2-3 years now. It has accompanied me to the redwood forests multiple times, the snow slopes in Chamonix, and on chilly neighborhood walk days. I love how light and packable this jacket is, so easy to throw into a backpack to have just in case. I also have had Patagonia down jackets, mountain hardware, marmot and Uniqlo’s ultra light down. All great, but I still find myself gravitating towards this Cotopaxi one due to it being my favorite color and also the hood actually covering your head and face. I was able to pick up matching gloves last winter and they are also SO CUTE! Love this brand and considering one day getting the fuego vest as well.
I loved it. I wore it on a windy, very cold day and the jacket kept me very warm. Love the colors. Got complements too.
I bought this in Oct and it’s now Jan. The other day while shoveling I realized the front somehow ripped and feathers were coming out. Really strange since I don’t remember doing anything to cause it- makes me wonder if the material really is that fragile? The other thing is that it is not as warm as you might expect in a similar medium down coat. It’s ok. But on windy days or single digits it’s just not enough. Personally I like the fit- I am a solid XL and I always have trouble with arms being too tight. This is not a problem in this coat. I can see how different body frames might find it fits big or boxy, but in my case it works well. I find Patagonia XL runs extremely small if that context helps. I do get compliments on it all the time! (I got the green)
I’m always cold. Just how my body temp is set. Therefore, I have been living in my Cotopaxi vest, and when I was visiting my children recently in California, where it got cool in the evenings, they pulled out their Cotopaxi jackets. Wishing my vest had sleeves. , I decided to order a jacket. I returned to New England where the temperature was 34° and have been wearing the jacket and staying warm every day since. The color palette is also wonderful. And perhaps the thing I like the most is that to travel with it couldn’t be easier because it can be stuffed into its own little pouch! I have found a lifetime keeper. Thank you.
This is my second puffer purchase and I just love it! Fits true to size, love the colors, and it is made well—highly recommend!
Finally found a down that keeps me warm on a very cold, rainy and windy season. Lightweight and packable. Hood fits right on my head. Color appears nice . It can be matched with any outfit I wear. I am petite, 5' , 110 lbs XS fits perfect. Can't go wrong with this down jacket. Super comfortable!
I bought this jacket for my big bend trip coming up soon & thought I would test it with all of my son’s soccer games. I’m super happy with how warm I am, but also how light weight the jacket is. I’m a true Large in tops, I love that I can layer a fleece under if I wanted.
I have had fuego hooded jackets for many years. This one is much larger than past versions and feels thinner, slightly less down inside perhaps (?). I know it mentioned it in the description that it was 'improved' and roomier fit. But, wow. I would have gotten a size smaller. It is much much larger than prior versions. To test it out, I have worn it for a few weeks now and still not happy with how large it fits. I do love all the inside pockets and color of the jacket. I got the brown/quartz colors. The quartz is more like a lavender color and is beautiful.
I bought this puffer to be my go to puffer for the season and took it for a spin in Zion this week and it kept me warm the whole time!
