Stiff & tight
I had a pair of these for years that I lived in all winter long. They finally started to leak, so I was excited to find the same ones. But they are not the same. The fit is VERY tight on these - my toes had to scrunch up to fit them into the boot. Also the height where your arch is -- where the top of the foot curves up to the shin -- is also very tight. I have very high arches, so this may not be an issue for everyone. The rubber is very stiff, so there is little hope that they would loosen up at all. I tried taking out the insert and it helped, but my toes were still scrunched. Also, I immediately started to get a blister on my heal just for walking around the house. I loved my old pair, and would actually walk a couple of miles in them with no problems. But these are going to be returned, I can't even walk across the yard to the barn. On the positive side, they seem to be well made, and they look nice. I just can't wear them.
