Finally found a vest that keeps my core warm without overheating or having cold spots!! I have struggled to find ways to keep warm in the core. Layering with base layer, fleece, and thin puffer. Tried several other brand vest. Nothing worked until this past Thursday I accidentally found a older version in clearance. Couldn't fit, asked for help and was directed to the rack of this version. This lady back to fall walks and out the gym. 5' 4" 155 lbs 38C medium fits perfectly. Not snug and not loose

Light weight, easy to pack, warm, has pockets with zippers so you can carry your phone and it won’t fall out. I love that is has a hood! I take it everywhere! Has an amazing fit, is comfortable and the colors are eye-catching.

I am disappointed at the changes in sizes compared to previous versions. XS is too big (more like medium for me) with excessive material and so the vest can only be worn as an outer layer. It would be helpful with sales if XXS is available and if they want to use larger measure for sizing labels.

Everything I read before purchasing is true - it's comfy warm, but not too warm. I purchased this for an upcoming trip where it will be chilly, and layering will be key. The hood is a perfect fit, very much unlike so many hoods. It was stay on! My only gripe is as I read by another reviewer - this vest is bulky in the chest area, specifically for me, under the armpits. I'm small-breasted, and I'm bummed there is so much room under the arms. I suspect wind & cold will make its way onto me, unfortunately. The rest of the vest is fitted, so sizing up is not an option. I purchased the Twilight Blue in Medium. I am 5'3" and weigh 128 lbs.

Great for running in cold/cool temps! I am 5'11 and wish it was just an inch or two longer in the torso or have a tall option. Bought on sale and have worn it for runs ranging from 25° to 40°F. Good number of pockets and not a heavy piece of clothing. Thin enough to layer under a coat but also keeps me very warm during long and short runs without a coat. Overall, good quality I expect from Smartwool, just wish it came in a tall option or slightly longer.

Smartwool makes fantastic vests; however, this season, the cut is not small-breasted friendly. There was so much room in the top section that I could have put the cat in there. It was unflattering and let in the cold. This is not a usable product for anyone size B.

I was looking for a vest with outside zip pockets for a trip. This fit the bill..and then some! The hood cinched it !While wearing, discovered the 2 deep inside pockets and the inside zip pocket. Perfect to put my glasses while wearing sunglasses. Keys, cellphone, wallet and a pen all tucked safely without bulk. After return from trip, this became my new favorite, in the ice blue. Great with jeans.

I wear this vest in the fall/winter/spring because it's perfect to keeping warm but not getting too hot. You can layer it with a long sleeve tee when it's cool or with a tee and sweater when it's cold. The hoodie and fit make it more stylish than most vests, which is key for me. The front, back and hood are a low loft and the sides are stretchy wool. I'm 5'3"" and 115lbs and it's not too long or too short. I bought the gray and black version in a small and they fit perfectly. Fitted but not too tight. Last year, I tried the gray in a small and it was way too big. So either that was a one off of the sizing is better now. :)

I'm a big smartwool base layer fan, and was looking for a core layer vest. I have tons of them, mainly puffers, from other makers, and none have a hood. This vest is genius! Not only does it fit my body great, has soft wool panels on the inside, but the hood is practical and well thought out with zipper that's offset under your chin so it doesn't hit you in the throat like most zip-ups do. Hood is generous fit but form fitting to keep the cold out. Smart smartwool! This is a lightweight but warm vest I can wear over anything, all year long, and I'm loving it. The light gray color goes with anything and styling is super flattering. Appreciate the two inner pockets to throw a phone or a pair of glasses inside, as well as a zip pocket on the interior to fit a few items. Well done!

I love the Smartwool vest. I have 3 and they are my go to vest for traveling. The zipper pockets are a big safety plus. The fit is flattering and they wear forever.
