Herschel Supply Co.  Heritage Tote

Not what I was expecting. I have an orange Herschel tote from years ago and was hoping it would be exactly like that. Unfortunately this is smaller/narrower and didn’t have the signature red stripe interior, instead it is purple (I’m guessing to match the exterior), which is not a big deal breaker but I do prefer the lighter color interior. Also, the zipper isn’t fully attached to the bag like my older one. There are openings at the ends of the zippers. I still own the orange tote and that has lasted me forever! I love it so much I wanted another. However this is not it. Sorely disappointed. I’ve attached photos of the zipper. The lighting makes it look like different bags but it is the same one.

I LOVE this tote. I always struggle flying because I never have enough to fill a backpack, but also they usually count as a carry-on. This is the ideal size to still be a personal item, the soft fabric inside the laptop/tablet sleeve was a nice touch and the zippered pocket/handle strap was clutch moving around the airport. I also love that it's roomy but also fully closeable so nothing is spilling out on the plane or in the car. My oooonly complaint is that it seems a bit tough to clean? I must have rubbed against something black at the airport and cannot get the stain out. Other than that, this bag is fantastic!

Fine as a general tote. Good quality. Trolley sleeve is nice add. Handles sized nice. The chicory color true to color, a nice rustic note. But awkward for my intended use for as under seat carry on. Little tall and stiff. Zipper design a tad odd, doesn’t cover top entirely.

This is THE BAG I have been looking for. The photos don’t give enough information about the inside of this tote. The handles are nice and long, and they are soft against my shoulder. Inside the tote, t. here is a zipper pocket as well as two soft pockets in front of the zipper pocket on one side, and a large, soft pocket with a velcro strap to keep it closed on the other side. The two bottle pockets are nice and deep, and there is still plenty of space inside for storage cubes. The back pocket, that has a bottom zipper, is not large enough to slide over my roller bag handle, but it can still be used for storage.

This has immediately become the go. to. crqft bag for travel. Sturdy construction, well placed pockets and a classic style. Lives up to Herschel'S standard of excellence

I am VERY particular and shopped around a lot before choosing this new work bag. I am a preschool teacher and I need a bag that can carry my lunch, many water bottles, supplies and a sweater or puffy coat. This bag holds it all and still looks sleek and professional. I got the dark purple Plum color which has stayed pretty clean from all the outside weather grime and my huskies dog fur (bonus it doesn’t stick too much!). I highly advise this purchase if you are looking for some thing durable and multi functional as well as professional :)

I have a goal of packing light with only carry on luggage, this bag is a HUGE part of making me successful. The features I like are that it is durable, lightweight, has a lot of zippered pockets inside and out . The one issue I had was that I don't like the inside lining dark, because it's hard for me to find what's inside. Solution I gave it to a friend and bought the limited edition ivory one! Would love to have you modify the ivory bag with the same tan trim of the black bag. KW

I love the bag! Another reviewer said this bag matched her criteria for a teacher bag and I went with it. I am not disappointed. It looks great-casual yet professional. The inside has a padded computer sleeve, large pocket to fit my lunchbox, purse, pencil bags, sweater and plenty of more space for books etc. Outside water bottle pocket, smaller slip pocket and it can be used with a roller bag as it will slip over the handle. Seems perfect for my intended classroom use.

This is my first tote bag, I’ve always used a back pack for work and school. So far, this bag has been great to use. A little bigger than I was expecting. I like the inside pockets to keep the inside organized, I do use Herschel’s small tech pouch and small pencil case to keep my smaller items organized and easier to get to. I like the padded laptop sleeve. I definitely will be getting a lot of use out of this bag.

great bag! looking for a work bag that can take a beating, I purchased about 4 other bags that came short of what I wanted. The Herschel Heritage tote is so perfect that about 18months later I am buying another one in case the model is discontinued for some crazy reason! the bag is very sturdy, great outside pockets and inside pockets. I own designer bags that cost4-5 times more and prefer this one!
