Happy but…
Tight. I like them but should have bought one size larger. They are windbreaker material on front of pants. Stretchy a little lined on back half. So less stretchy overall. And it’s cold here where I run. I need an additional layer under. So probably needed one size larger.

Joggers, not leggings
These are joggers, not leggings. Not a style I like. The waistband had no give, really only appropriate for narrow hips. The result of the waistband design is that these fit loose, which would be fine for a walk or maybe hike, but not for a run (for me). I think the wind breaker aspect would be excellent, but these are going back. Bummer that REI makes you pay for online returns, forcing you into a store. Bad form.

Women's Deviator Legging

Love these tights. I bought them for cool weather (fall) mountain biking but I think they will work well for winter running, nordic skiing or snowshoeing as well...as long as it's not too cold out. I live in the mountains where we get a ton of snow and have cold winters so this will most likely be shoulder season pants for me. The fit is slim but not tight, tight like stretchy leggings. I ordered the size small first....I'm 5'3" and weigh 125 and am a size 6 typically....but they were a little too tight in the tummy so I sent them back and ordered a medium which fit perfect. If I didn't carry my weight in my stomach or weighed five pounds less the small would have been fine. The medium wasn't too much longer either so it still fit length wise. I've been looking and looking for a good cold weather pant for biking and these fit the bill perfectly. I also liked the color...it's a very deep green.

Loose waist, tight calves, polyester odor

The mapped design of these leggings is great, but the fit is poor. Very loose in the waist, rise is too low (wedgie!), calves too tight. For reference I'm 5'5" and 120lbs. Polyester holds onto smells, so a nylon/spandex blend would be better than polyester/spandex. If the fit is updated to a smaller waist and higher rise, enough room for calves, and nylon/spandex I'd definitely rebuy.

Only lasted 3 hikes-

Great fit, wind and water protection- one seam already has a hole between front fabric and back fabric after 3 medium length hikes no over night- will try to return as these were intended to hike Patagonia and clearly will not be durable enough. Super comfortable and wish they would have lasted- bummer. Maybe if I can return and try again- this will be a one off.

Perfectly Purposeful!

Phenomenal attention to material, cut, and construction resulting in the best executed winter tight for high output activities! Bunch-free, Snag-free, and exceptional weather resistance paired with the breathability you need to keep pushing hard while staying dry and warm. Highly recommend!

Interesting Fit

The tight waistband leads me to believe these will stay up while moving. Fit like a true small, I'm 5'6" 135 lbs. Also, the knees are tight and they're loose in just the crotch-good wind-breaking material. I am not so sure how thermal these will be, they seem a bit on the thin side.

Comfy and seem durable

I haven't worn these outside yet, but they're comfortable and they seem durable. I'm 5'5, about 140lb and the medium fit well.

They are a comfortable fit. I use them to xc ski but they would be great for running as well. Nice pockets

I'm going back for another pair

Flattering, warm, comfortable, love the zip at the ankle. Best leggings anywhere for everything!
