Rises to the challenge.
I bought this along with the Active Fleece Wind Pants, and I have to say it’s one of the best investments I have made. I was looking for something to keep me warm on my early morning runs during these brutal Wisconsin winters and settled on this set from Smartwool. I have now used it multiple times in sub-5 degree weather with just a lightweight base-layer underneath and it has kept me warm without limiting my mobility. It is excellent at stopping wind from passing through while still allowing for sweat to wick away. It’s also sharp enough for casual wear or would make a great mid-layer for extended cold-weather activities.
Stretchy and warm
Perfect level of warmth and great range of motion. I wear this running, golfing and around the office and it's one of my favorite pieces for all three
The sad reality is that merino by itself is not durable. And,if you're a true dirtbag, you have to blast it in a Zapp bug or145 degrees to get rid of the bugs.
