LOVE my Ghost Whisperer Pants!!!

I now have two pairs of these pants—one in copper clay and one in black. They are my mid layer for downhill skiing but I also wear them all winter (November-March) herein snowy, cold northern Michigan. They’re not cheap but they’re worth every penny I paid for them! They not only are cozy and so warm, so not only do I wear them under my waterproof ski pants, but I wear them out and about for running errands, going to winter festivals, and for travel. Every single time I wear them, at least one person asks me where I got my cool pants! Last night at our local holiday open house six women (ages 20-60) came up to me and told me they LOVED my pants and wanted to know where I got them from! Mountain Hardware—please keep making these pants in different colors! I could literally be your spokesperson for them! :) For reference, I’m 5’6” 128 lbs and wear size Small—I could wear XSM but I wanted a little more room to move in when I ski.

Fabric rips easily

Very warm but the fabric was sliced with one fall on ice in a driveway! Hardly got a chance to enjoy them. For such an expensive pant I’d expect the fabric to be a little tougher

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see your pants ripped from a fall. We would not recommend using these as your outer layer as the fabric is really lightweight. They are meant to be worn as a mid-layer, typically underneath a ski or rain pant for insulation. We would recommend getting some tenacious tape (made by the company Gear Aid) for that tear. If you were looking for a professional repair, our Warranty Team does perform professional repairs as well. The Best Lightweight Down Pant Available

I've tested every light(er) weight down pant available in 2025 & 2026. I think this Women's Ghost Whisperer™ Pant is the best. It's incredibly comfortable to wear, and the light nylon exterior acts as a windbreaker as well. Down pants are such a 'game changer' - you go from "braving the cold" to feeling "oblivious to the cold". I wear them hiking, running errands, camping, cleaning my garage - and sometimes even in the house, when my furnace is underperforming. I've bought several pairs of these pants, and even bought a pair for my mother and my spouse. I do think they run a little big (e.g., I wear a size 6, but bought an XS in these pants).

Can't wait to test them outside in rough temperatures!

Just received these pants size Large after returning the XL. The green colour is amazing. I haven't tried them outside yet but I can't wait and I'll leave another review then. For now I can say the shipping was really fast (I'm in Quebec, Canada), I'm actually waiting for the refund of the XL , but it's been less than a week so I'm looking forward to have an update in a few days. I love the big pockets. I'm 5'7 and based on the sizing chart I first took the XL cause my measurements were between L and XL so I tough the L would be way too small, but it ended up that these pants fits bigger so even the L is a bit big but it leaves place if I wanna wear like polar pants under and you can tight the waist so it's perfect!

Ruined after 2nd Wear!

I have a lot of lightweight down, and I've had one of my sweater jackets for a decade. I'm not new to down products for outdoor use. These pants are warm and comfortable, and I loved them the first time I wore them to do some easy skiing on a particularly frigid day. I was thrilled I'd bought them. The second time I wore them, I went for a walk, it was icy, and I fell. None of my other clothes were bothered by it. I hit the ground with my palms, and my gloves don't have a scratch. These pants are ruined. They are so delicate that holes burst clean through both layers at the knee and the down began pouring out. With this kind of fragility, you can't actually expect to do anything outdoors in these pants and have them last for any length of time. Truly, I was shocked at how slight an impact made such a huge mess in an instant. Totally worthless.

Sooo warm

I got these for work since I have an outside job all winter. I wasn’t sure if I really needed them since I figured core heat was more important but they are so warm they had me sweating! I work in 0° - 35° and often in the snow/wind. These are a lifesaver!!! Also I am 5’ 10 with a 32” inseam and usually get size small. I went with the size small, long version. They are a tiny bit baggier than I thought they’d be but they have good mobility.

Great warmth for the price

It regularly gets to -50 C where I live and I bought these to wear under a hard shell snowpant. I have no complaints. They kept me warm today at -50. I wear them anytime it’s colder than -10 C on their own and stay warm. The coldest I’ve worn them on their own is -35 C and I was still warm. They are never too warm. I’ve worn them camping in the summer as well and they work great for colder nights. They pack down easy and can go wherever.

Magically Light &WARM

I walk quite abit in the Colorado Rocky Mountains climate & have tried all fleece lined bottoms, layered & uncomfortable & even walk in my ski pants , but with these Ghost Whisper pants, I don't even wear a base layer, these are the warmest pants I've tried & they are wind proof,Wow!! Great technology!! I absolutely LOVE THESE PANTS & even ordered a second pair for me & a pair for my daughter who walks her dog in the cold weather!

Comparing Down Pants

Bought Ghost Whisper pants and Stretchdown pants in size Medium. Im a Regular 5'5 130 built a solid size 6. The Ghost Whisper ran bigger then the StretchDown. I would say an all around 1/2 inch on both sides and length Stretchdown was still big for my size 6 frame but was worried the small would be too tight. Little bigger in the backside. Verdict-I chose the StretchDown Pants that are a little big on me.

Roomy in the waist

These pants are very generous in the waist. Although they have a drawstring, I am a size 27 waist and they feel and look huge on me. They are not something o feel comfortable wearing as they are long and large in the waist. They seem to fit well in the length (I’m 5’6) and approximate to wear under ski shells, etc. I also discovered They feel similar to wearing a sleeping bag, which is overall a strange feeling!
