although the trango 4p would probably perform very well without it, why not extend the life and versatility of the dwelling with the footprint ? it's kind of a no brainer. why would you want a mountaineering boot without a vibram sole ? just a thought. I am posting this on Christmas eve, so, Merry Christmas everybody ! hope I don't offend anyone. enjoy life while you can !
The Footprint is a must have!
The foot print is a must have if you want to use the pitch light setup. I have not set this up, but did not realize it tile after receiving the tent that. By having the foot print it allows you to pitch the tent with just the rainfly and poles and footprint. Very handy feature if you are planning on camping trip on a hot summer night.
