Exceptionally clear lenses!
I have never worn polycarbonate sunglasses that are so clear. These are honestly sunglasses that show you true colors even with the polarized lens and tint. And the lenses are so clear, including after wearing for runs outside in the city and after cleaning. They’re also very lightweight AND sturdy. I wore them running multiple times this summer and never felt extra hot and they didn’t get affected by headsweat. And my head sweats. A lot. This fall which has been very windy up here in the frozen tundra of MN they’ve also been rockstars. No fogging up if I go into a warmer space and great with glare off the water and other reflective surfaces. Will absolutely buy more and recommend to friends.
Value just isn't there.
I got these glasses for free, but my review is from the perspective of if I had paid full MSRP for them. Appearance: I received black with gray lenses. Not bad, but I with my bald dome, I look Iike I'm ready for action to go down at any minute. When in fact, I just want to keep grit and branches out of my eyes. I would have opted for another color if I had the choice. Frame Design: I would have preferred the ear pieces to curve down more. I primarily use these for mountain biking and the straighter earpieces don't work well with the inner skeletal MIPS frame of my helmet. Lenses: This is the strong suite of these glasses. The fit to the face very well and guard against wind, grit, and other debris flying off the tires. I frequently get hit with twigs and leave when weaving through tight trails, and these lenses made be feel confident that they'd not break and damage my eyes. The lense color is perfect for most hours of the day, even cloudy weather. If these glasses came with swappable lenses, I'd rate them higher for the price. Comfort: Relatively comfortable when worn without a bike helmet, I never feel like they are too tight or pinching my nose. Borderline annoying with a helmet because I have to constantly adjust them. This is not an issue I've had with other glasses with curved ear pieces. Conclusion: I've been in the market for a pair of decent athletic sunglasses for a few months, and until I received these, I've been wearing a pair of Amazon $30.00 cheapies. With those as a comparison, I don't believe these are worth $80.00, but would be good at $50.00. If you like these shades consider waiting for a sale. If your a bicyclist, try these with a helmet at the store first. I'll likely save these for trail running and kayaking.
Great lens and frame but not the most stylish
Great clarity and polarization for outdoor activities. The fit is nice with a large single piece front lens that blocks wind well and prevents glare on the inside of the lens. The style, however, leaves a little bit to be desired. These are great lenses and frames from a functional standpoint, but do not have a very appealing style for daily wear. As a result, these will likely only get used from my collection for specific outdoor activities and then put away for daily activities and errands before/after.
Almost perfect
As someone training for a marathon currently, I was super excited to try these sunglasses! I love that they are polarized (that's a must for me as someone with sensitive eyes) and the wrap feature. They're also super light weight but still feel sturdy, so I think they'll hold up well to all the mileage and wear and tear. Overall I really like these glasses, but the reason they lose 1 star for me is because unfortunately I did notice they experience some bouncing while running. This only happens when I am laughing or singing excessively, because I think my cheeks were bumping up against the lens and pushing it upward. It didn't bother me too much, but this doesn't normally happen with other frames I have. So I'd recommend a proper shake test with these guys!
Near perfect
The polarization and clarity are both great. The bottom of the lens can be a bit sharp against the skin, particularly when putting it on/taking it off. But they were secure while running and super light!
Crystal clear!!
“I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.” The suncloud cadence polarized glasses actually surprised me. The glasses are very light weight and fit comfortably. The polarized glasses made everything look super sharp. I’ve used them for driving, light outside exercise. I plan to take them hiking the Wilson 14ers group in Colorado this weekend.
