I purchased this in August 2021 for my daughter to wear during the cold mornings in Yellowstone. She then wore it during a typical Minnesota winter as a base layer. The shirt worked well at first, but after less than a year of wear, it's already starting to come apart. The shirt has several holes at the seams. Disappointing, as this shirt was not cheap.

Great for petite females too

I bought this base layer as a petite, adult female and was really impressed both by how affordable this product is (bonus - yay for fitting into kids' sizes...) and for its performance. These have quickly become my favorite shirts to layer for hiking, running, walking, mountain biking, backpacking... just about anything. They provide a nice amount of warmth and I love how breathable they feel on. I have bought several more since!

Perfect for petite women!

This is exactly what I was looking for - a well made, soft wool base layer that actually fits! So many made for women are way too long on my petite frame. This top fits my 5’2” 110lb body (small busted woman here) perfectly in the kids Large. It is not snug if that’s what you’re going for but a comfy fit that will still be fine if there’s any danger of a bit of shrinkage. Perfect sleeve length. Oh, and did I say it is soft?!

Comfy savings; comfy merino

For several years now I buy the girls size XL merino base layer long sleeve shirts, the savings is significant and the fit and softness of the merino suits me just fine. It’s a very warm base layer.

Warm as expected but not soft

Warm base layer but not very soft. I have sensitive skin so it is somewhat itchy.

Great quality

Bought shirt and pants as base layers for son to wear as we road tripped through Olympic and Mt Rainier. They kept him warm and dry through all our adventures through snow, rainforests, beaches and every where in between. We live in So Cal, so I can't attest to how it will hold up with every day wear. But we washed in gentle detergent, no softener, line dry and it was comfortable. I bought large hoping these will last into next season, but even if he outgrows these, it was well worth it to keep him safe and warm out in the elements.

Great for an active skiing kid

These are a little on the pricey side for base layer, but they are worth every penny if you're out skiing every weekend. can't beat the warmth and comfort of wool, and REI Co-op brand is a great value.

Love it. Need more colors.

I am a petite woman. I bought Saragasso Sea size L(14-16) and it fit me nicely. Hope REI Co-Op can offer more color choices for this product.
