Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

I wore this raincoat in a warm January sleet / rain mix, and couldn't be happier with the quality. My previous rain jacket was cut slim, and after an hour or so the rain would start to penetrate. This jacket kept me warm and dry for a full hike, and is cut generously so that a heavy sweater can be worn underneath. Rather than feeling stiff, the material is soft and supple, so it moves with you. A few other small details that make it great: flaps that cover the pocket and front zippers, and good-sized (not tiny) zipper pulls. Even with gloves or cold hands, no fumbling to get it off after a good time outdoors!
Received an XS Fresh Fig/ Ryegrass Green color. While the cuffs are only elastic and cannot be adjusted, you can just roll the cuffs back and can do so easily since the sleeves themselves are quite roomy. The inside mesh liner is comfortable. I've used the jacket on rainy walks and it holds up nicely against rain. On a windy hike it kept the wind out. Though due to lack of pit zips, regulating temperature is something to consider. On a car camping trip the jacket stayed waterproof the 2 days that it rained. I would still recommend this jacket as great all around rain jacket, particularly if you don't want more than 1 in your life and don't think you'll need an activity specific weather jacket.
I had worn this jacket a couple times as wind breaker and absolutely loved it! Super comfortable for a rain jacket and liked the look of it but unfortunately it’s not waterproof. I wore this out walking in drizzle and within an hour I was completely soaked on my arms (I was using an umbrella so my chest and back where dry). The water was seeping right through it, got so bad I gave up and removed the jacket and tied it around my waist because it was quite uncomfortable with all the water that was inside the jacket. I was really disappointed as I really liked this jacket but I returned it because I was mostly needing a rain jacket that keeps me dry
I bought this rain jacket to stay dry during my visit to Glacier National Park, and it didn't let me down. As a beginner in camping and outdoor activities, I found this to be a fantastic rain jacket as it kept me quite dry and warm (with layering).
Are you looking for a waterproof jacket for short strolls? If so, this might be for you. The jacket is made of a soft comfortable material. Although I couldn’t get one with a good fit, it held up well in light rain. Negatives — no pit zips, unable to adjust sleeves (they were too long for me), and difficult to fine tune hood adjustments without impacting one’s vision (only has side adjustments). Unfortunately, too many negatives in the Trailmade to make it part of my outdoor gear.
I like how this jacket repels water. I am slim and tall and didn't know what size to order. The size chart indicated Medium. Glad I ordered it in size Large. I recommend ordering a size up so that you can wear an insulating layer. The only thing I didn't like is that you can't snug down the cuffs when the wind blows.
This jacket is exactly what I needed for a 5k with a forecast of heavy rain. It was perfect for a 40° start time with nothing but a long sleeve T-shirt under it. It was lightweight and roomy, but not so much that it obstructed my movement or felt bulky, and kept my upper body dry for the duration of the race (over an hour in heavy rain before, during, and after the event). Thank you for having larger women’s sizes in stock in stores; I ordered this late on a Thursday night and picked up Friday for a Saturday morning race.
The Trailmade Rain Jacket is a solid piece of gear. It is soft and malleable (unlike many other rain jackets, which are stiff or binding) and the hood stays on, even in wind. The jacket itself is roomy with an inner lining and well-placed zipper pockets for gloves/phone/keys. It is more substantial and insulating than a rain shell, so it won't pack into its own pocket to stow, but is not so big that it's annoying tied around your waist if you heat up. It may even be substantial enough for you to eliminate one top layer in runs under 30 degrees. After 4 runs, it seems to not be retaining any odors. Sizing is standard. Size up if you just prefer a roomier fit or like to pull your hands into your sleeves.
This is a no frills, will get the job done rain jacket that I bought for an upcoming trip overseas where I wanted a rain jacket that looked a little nicer then my go to GorTex jacket. You can’t beat the price, and it looks pretty good but as someone who is 5’4, 110lbs it is massive. I’ve noticed not just with REI, but also among many other brands, they no longer make sizing for smaller people. If you’re going to have a 3xl-can’t you also make an XXS or atleast have your XS be tiny? It’s a shame because I like the jacket and meets my needs but I’m going to have to go with a different brand that caters more to my size.
I went in to the store to try this on, and ended up leaving with one in black for my everyday jacket. I'm 5'4", 170 lbs, 38C, size 10/12 in jeans & med/large in tops. I went back and forth between the medium and the large. The medium is flatteringly comfortable with a light sweater under it. I ordered an XL for camping/hiking to layer under. The material is much higher quality than expected based on the online photos. At this price, I don't think you could find a better shell.
