does everything a reasonable user could want

I have several Fenix flashlights and generally get a new one every other year or so. The PD36r Pro is ridiculous in terms of performance, ease of use, and battery longevity. The amount of light this thing throws out is incredible. I also really like the mode switch on the tail cap versus on the side of the body -- it's much easier to use. I also appreciate the strobe feature that is readily accessible. All together, this is a pretty incredible light that's suitable for everyday carry. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be satisfied with this item -- it really does everything someone could reasonably want from a flashlight.

If it could only stand on its end. Otherwise a HUGE leap in technology and design.

Tank of a light

Solid construction, tightly machined, and super intuitive interface. Didn't realize it had a separate strobe button on the tail cap when I purchased it but I really like it (as opposed to the overly complicated UIs on other lights). Very happy with my purchase!

Great flashlight for the most part

Overall, this is a great flashlight.. probably my favorite. Seems to be quality made, works very well for lighting. Cons: The power/strobe buttons are far to easy to accidentally activate while carrying in the sheath, unknowingly draining the battery.. 'customer service' says to just unscrew the tail cap to avoid this issue, however that's not always practical depending on usage needs or environmental conditions.. this is a design flaw that Fenix should address.. then it'd be a perfect light. The sheath also really sucks, cheapest piece of fabric excuse for a sheath imaginable.. I bought a pistol mag pouch with molle and it's 100% better, perfect.. again, 'customer service' is useless on listening to any such feedback- they just want to make money and evidently don't care about making their products as best as possible.. kind of less than stellar bz model, but whatever..

Fenix Flashlights Rock

Great flashlight with a powerful beam, good light level adjustments, and good battery life between charges. Overall quality seems good. The lens area does get hot on the maximum beam setting.

Yes.

Works and I like it. Finally a usb-c charge port. Third fenix light I’ve owned and they’re all best bang for your buck compared to olight, nebo and streamlight.

You’ll use it at home and outdoors!

This flashlight has been extremely reliable. It is small but powerful lighting source with a long life — and the recharging capability is a real plus.

Great so far

Works as described. Battery life is good. I hope the battery survives many, many recharge cycles. Time will tell.
