Softest lightweight Hoody
I don’t know how I wore other hoodies. The soft feel on the skin and breath ability far surpass all other brands I’ve tried. I enjoy wearing this at the cabin, on the river as well as about town or out for a burger. Do yourself a favor and experience the bamboo fabric- I appreciate the attention to details. Dolman sleeve-over the thumb wrist cuff and overlapping front collar on hoody are a step above.
Nice at first but expected them to last longer
My husband has two of these shirts and they have both ripped. One ripped in the arm pit area and the other had the seam break and come apart on the sleeve cuff. We haven’t dried them and he’s had one for maybe a year and the other about 3 months. For a shirt this expensive I expected them to last a lot longer. They’re very soft and comfortable
Don’t recommend
I should have written this months ago but finally got around to taking pictures. Don’t buy this unless you like a hoodie that does not wash well. The fabric on this is soft but once you wash it, the dye is not consistent and for the money, looks terrible. Very unhappy and will not be purchasing more.
Lightweight, and comfy
I live in El Paso with >100 F most of the summer and intense sun and I’m outside all the time. This shirt covers from the sun perfectly for rock climbing, golf, etc and doesn’t feel hot, it breathes and is very soft. I’ll be ordering more for sure.
Stealthy on the flats!
What everyone has said +1. Lightweight, nice fit, looks great. What's not to love? Free Fly gear is the best.
An amazing adventure hoodie
I recently purchaswed this hoodie for a 12 day hiking trip in the Alps. I was looking for comfort, sun protection, and a lack of smell... and this shirt delivered on all fronts! Long days of hiking with tons of mtn passes produced large volumes of sweat and the shirt was able to avoid the stench (on many days I was able to wear it to dinner after I showered). My only issue is a small gripe, the shoulder seam sits directly at the top of your shoulder and has a tendency to irritate your skin while it is under the backpack strap. I know some of the other FreeFly shirts have offset seams, so I'll be looking into getting those next time.
Simply the best
I got this maybe 5 days ago and literally haven’t taken it off. I’ve found myself getting sad of the temps warm up and excited when they cool. It’s buttery soft and fits great. I even love the pocket. But here’s the most important aspect about this drip...it still doesn’t smell after 5 days of wear! No joke. I’m attributing this to the fact that bamboo is a natural fiber. In any case, there’s no way I could wear any of my lightweight, synthetic hoodies for so long w/o them needing a wash. It took me a while to get over the price point of the Free Fly gear but it’s totally on point. Seriously, do yourself a favor and grab something today. You won’t regret it!
Ruined after one use
I wore this hoody (storm cloud color) once in Belize during a fly fishing trip and it was ruined after a day of use. Apparently the material and dye cannot hold up with sun, sweat, and mineral-based sunscreen. I washed the shirt in cold water as recommended and now the shirt has pink off coloring on about 30% of the shirt. This shirt is probably fine for light use but I don’t recommend for any more demanding conditions.
Always perfect fit and great quality
Great for sun protection out on the water on boats!
