Horrible quality
I purchased this sandal and the right shoe straps were completely off in sizing. The toe straps are not adjustable. The left shoe was fine. This is the second pair of Columbia sandals I have been disappointed with. Will never buy Columbia shoes again. And to make matters worse, I'm getting charged to send back shoes that were made incorrectly.
Badly glued together
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these shoes - cute and comfortable! BUT they absolutely fell apart after about a dozen wears. The sole completely separated on both shoes. I've been gluing them back together with Gorilla glue as they fall apart more and more (which looks terrible). So SAD they are literally falling apart!

Great sandals
We live in interior Alaska and we always find rough roads in this area. These sandals are comfortable. I did not have an issue with the uneven straps like another reviewer mentioned. I took them out for long walks on rough terrain and they hold up just fine. I did not feel the rocks through the sole. I purchased them half a size smaller. I usually get 7.5, so I bought size 7 and they fit just right.
Uncomfortable
I purchased the Alava sandals in size 11 and they were absolutely huge. Exchanged for a 10.5 and they were still way too big, not to mention super uncomfortable. The toe straps are awkward and not adjustable, and the fit was just weird. I felt like these sandals would fall off at any minute. Walking in them was like having boards strapped to my feet - not a good experience. Returning.

BUMMED! Looks cute, feels like walking on a board
The color and style of these sandals is so nice- really was looking forward to wearing them. They are so oddly uncomfortable though! The sole is super stiff- like unnecessarily so. Felt like I was walking with a board strapped to my feet. I have quite a few Teva's in this same general style, and they are far superior in comfort and wearability. I'll stick to those.

I bought these, it was good pick, great ,I order another pair
