Current Best Wet Weather/ Commuter Tire
A tire that builds on the GP5000 S TR, and addresses its shortfalls. While not quite as fast as the S TR, it makes up for it in wet weather performance. The wet grip is fantastic - even better than the S TR (which already had excellent wet grip). The main shortfall of the S TR is wet weather puncture resistance - which the AS TR completely solves. I’ve ridden this past winter with not a single puncture on the AS TR, whereas last winter I had 2 tire ending punctures on the S TR on the same roads and trails. Highly recommend this tire for a fast, comfortable winter / commuting tire. The price is high, but expect a long, grippy tire lifespan.
Great tire.
Great tire! No issues and no punctures in 3.5 months of consistent use.
