Highly recommend for sandy and windy campsites

I highly recommend the Coghlan's tent pegs. I bought 10 for a spring trip Chaco Canyon in New Mexico, where the sites are all sand and wind is common. I used them for my four-person car camping tent that's high profile at five feet tall. The inevitable high wind came up, along with sideways rain, and it was a relief when I returned from a hike to see that my tent hadn't budged at all, even without any guy lines. No chasing a wind sail across the desert—been there, done that, no thanks. These pegs were so strong that the two additional aluminum stakes I had to use held up fine. They're also inexpensive at about a dollar apiece. I'm buying two more since my tent requires 12. The indestructible Coghlan's pegs are coming along on all my future camping trips.

I bought these to replace the stakes on shrub covers that broke very easily.

Broke on first use

Bought these and the matching mallet for a weekend camping trip. Stake broke upon being hammered in. Thankfully had some metal ones and the trip wasn't a disaster.
