As someone who's always dreamed of being more spontaneous with paddling but hated the hassle of roof racks, the Stowaway has been a game-changer. After months of research and comparing different boards, I finally pulled the trigger on this one, and I couldn't be happier. At first, I was skeptical about an inflatable performing well - let's be honest, most feel like pool toys - but this board feels remarkably solid on the water. On a recent weekend, I tossed it in my trunk (something I still can't get over - a full-size paddleboard in my trunk!) and drove up to Lake Tahoe. The whole setup at Sand Harbor took maybe 10 minutes, and the board inflated to a surprisingly rigid state. What really impressed me was how stable it felt paddling over those crystal-clear waters. The 32-inch width gives you plenty of confidence, and I spent hours exploring the shoreline, peering down at the granite boulders below. Even when the afternoon winds picked up and created some chop, the board tracked well and felt secure. The backpack carrying system is well thought out - all the accessories fit nicely, and the straps are comfortable enough for short hikes. I've had cheaper inflatables before, but the build quality here is noticeably better. After three months of regular use, it still looks and performs like new. The only minor gripe I have is that it takes a bit more effort to roll it up and get it back in the bag compared to some other inflatables, but I'll gladly trade that for the superior rigidity on the water. If you're like me and want the freedom to paddle whenever the mood strikes without dedicating half your garage to board storage, the Stowaway is worth every penny. It's opened up so many spontaneous adventures that just wouldn't have happened otherwise.
