Better than a plastic baggy!

Received free product

My family goes through ziploc bags like crazy! Packing snacks, storing art supplies, packing lunches, etc. In my opinion, this bag isnt just a replacement, but a step up. The first thing that stood out and makes this so practical is the fact that when you open it, it stands on its own and stays open! It is so handy and just a genious added feature. It is also super easy to clean. I have put it in the dishwasher and washed it by hand, either works great. It fits nicely in my lunch box and doesnt leak a bit. Very handy and i feel good that i am keeping some plastic out of landfills.

Handy Pouch for On the Go Snacking

Received free product

This pouch offers such a wonderful upgrade to the traditional silicone pouches you find - the structured opening. I used the pouch on a ski trip and kept grapes in it. I left just a little air so they wouldn't squish and it worked. The pouch is easy to open using the sliding bar across the top. It sits flat if you need it to which makes filling it a breeze. Plus, the structured opening means I can put it in the dishwasher and it will get completely clean (no risk of it sealing and the interior not getting washed. My ONLY complaint is the sliding bar across the top isn't attached to the bag and I misplaced it several times at home. It would be nice if it had a little leash that attached to the bag itself to avoid dropping/losing the sealing bar.

Sturdy, easy to clean, stays open

Received free product

I love the feel of the silicon --soft, yet it's thick, so you trust that you can rely on it. I took it with me on a couple of trips, storing my electronics one time because it felt thick enough to provide protection, and lotion, sunscreen, etc because if one of the bottles opened accidentally, the pouch would keep the leaks to a minimum. I realized that seal could have some leaks esp if the sliding bar moves --see the pic-- so I wouldn't store liquids in it directly. When I wasn't using the pouch, I removed the bar and packed it separately since it doesn't fold up. If you're concerned about weight, like for backpacking or airline limitations, this weighs more than a cheap plastic sandwich bag since it's so sturdy. I received these products for free from the #reitrailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

Great longlasting reusable storage bag

Received free product

I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. If I could give this product 4.5 stars, I would. Pros: easy close, resilient material, super easy to clean, air tight lock, stands on its own, just about everything you could want in a reusable bag. Con: heavy and a bit bulky if you are backpacking or needing to conserve space. I've used this for snacks on the go, to store dry goods (yes it keeps water out!), and to carry small baby items I'm trying to keep sanitary. It's easy to remove the air so that snacks stay fresh and the heavier material helps keep things tasting a little fresher and cooler than the average plastic bag. It is so easy to dishwash and remains open through the rigid top opening mechanism so it dries fast. It's easy to prop up, and although the closure slide piece is separate, it's easy to line up and slide. Easily the best reusable plastic bag I've found. If they can make one with a slimmer profile or a lighter closure, I think that would improve the use for backpacking or trekking.

High quality, durable pouch for lifetime use

Received free product

Quality: first thing that struck me about this product was how heavy duty it was. The pouch is thick and the sealing mechanism is large. However, the pouch will be quite durable based upon the thickness and the sealing mechanism gives me confidence this will last a while. For those who are concerned with plastics, this is 100% silicone and has a wide temperature range Usage: definitely not for backpacking or for activities were weight matters as this is a hefty product for it's size. However, for day-to-day use, it's great of great quality and will last a while. Features: there are three things that I LOVE about the product: 1) the sealing mechanism - although it has two parts, the slide and the clicking opening make it so easy to keep the pouch open and the slide ensures that it's leak proof 2) the pouch has a flat bottom so it can stand by itself 3) dishwasher safe on the top rack. Another great feature is that it has a volume measurement! The clicking opening and sliding seal are great as other pouches that close by pushing aren't great at sealing.

Easy to clean, doesn't leak

Received free product

Easy to use and leak proof. I like how easily it opens up to clean. It's been in the freezer and dishwasher, and hasn't degraded in any way. I have been careful not to hit the plastic on anything hard while it's frozen. My only compl is the plastic top would be easy to loose. I'd like to see something a little slimmer that is attached with a leash (like hydrapak reservoirs)

Extra-ordinarily Functional

Received free product

For being a "simple" pouch, this product has amazing design features. It greatly surpasses typical grocery store storage bags. It would be very difficult to puncture the pouch, so I feel safe packing nuts and other loose food in my baggage when traveling. Yet,it is sufficiently transparent that contents can be readily identified. The "pop" open and close top is super functional. In conjunction with the flat bottom, the pouch can sit on the floor of your canoe or kayak, next to you in your car, or on the ground and allows easy access to the contents without it falling over. The ability to leave the top open also facilitates cleaning. After washing and rinsing, it can sit upright with the top open for final drying. The slider that seals the pouch is easy to place and remove. It is a tight enough seal that rain or splashes from watercraft is unlikely to ruin the contents. I have used it primarily for nuts and trail mix and find the size to be generous for two people for a day hike. The icing on the cake is being able to minimize the use of disposable plastic bags.

Stands up on its own

Received free product

I thought the pouch would be larger. I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions. Having said that, it can fit a heathy sized sandwich if that’s what you wanted to use it for. I do really like that the opening can be made wider and that it stands up on its own. It makes it very easy to use. And that you can stuff it and still be able to close the top. But my preference would be that the pouch be a tad wider.

GoPouch reuseable silicon storage bag

Received free product

I received the size medium (800ml; 28oz) GoPouch just before a multi-day front and backcountry ski trip. As someone who has re-used ziplock bags that have long out-lived their useful days I was excited to try this re-useable silicon bag. I loaded it up with trail mix but found the bag a bit heavy and bulky for carrying in the backcountry. But I really loved it on the long drive home when it's stay-open and free standing features allowed me to keep myself feed and eyes on the road. The stay open feature was great as it allowed me to grab a handful of snacks without really having to look at what I was doing. For aficionados of the classic backcountry lunch of PB&J, the GoPouch is great at keeping the mess in the bag. And when it comes time to clean it up, just pop it in the dishwasher. Very easy and very clean. Even if you don't have a dishwasher, it's much easier to wash than a zip lock bag. I haven't had a chance to test it's leak-proofness yet, but certainly the closing mechanism would give me confidence that it was actually shut. It's robust silicon construction also gives peace of mind that no little pin holes in the corners are going to leak the contents out into your bag. It would probably be great for making sure that your toiletries don't leak in your bag on a plane trip. I've been very happy so far with the GoPouch. Only 4 stars due to it's bulkiness, but if you're trying to keep the contents of your bag in the bag, it's a winner.
