Super light and compact

I love this avy set. Super lightweight, everything is really space conscious and I think the colors are sick! Beacon is easy to use and tiny! The shovel could be a bit wider but works fantastic and the probe is crazy lightweight for a probe!

Impressively lightweight

I’m in territory that doesn’t see a bunch of avalanche action, so I’m not worried about having a kit that can stand up to a ton of abuse. Instead, I value lightweight gear so that I won’t be tempted to leave it behind. This kit delivers! I hardly notice it in my pack. The deployment of the probe is quite ingenious too.

Affordable and easy to use.

The transponder and probe were easy to use and put together. The shovel on the other hand doesn't lock down as nicely as I expected it to do. The total weight for the set was a nice for a 4 day ski tour. I would recommend this set for a short ski tour or even off piste adventures on big mountain days.

My new set

Love how light and compact this set is. I upgraded my ski pack and my older shovel and probe did not fit in well so after a year of cramming things in, I got this set. Packed so easy = no stressed zippers!

Crazy light

The shovel is super light. No reason to leave it home. The training options on the beacon make it clear how it is correctly used.
